Nye Konkurrenter

New Competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! We’ve collected the most important information to be aware of in this tab. We recommend reading this before competing for the first time.

All new competitors must bring a valid ID to confirm their personal details before a WCA-ID can be claimed on the website. Registration of new competitors tends to be just after the Competitor Tutorial. If you do not have a valid ID, please contact the organizers beforehand, and we’ll sort it out.

There’s a Competitor Tutorial at 9:30 on saturday, where we will go through the competition procedure as well as the most important rules to be aware of. We highly recommend being present for this. In addition we would like to watch this video for a walkthrough of the competing procedure.

All competitors must have read the WCA Regualtions. A simplified version of the most important regulations can also be found in this document.

The schedule might change throughout the day. We will start new events as soon as previous rounds have concluded. We therefore recommend all competitors to be present at least 20 minutes before they’re scheduled to compete.

We’re using WCA Live for scoretaking. Here you can find your placement, and you’re able to check whether you proceed to the next round or not. Note that the amount of competitors that proceed to subsequent are subject to change as some competitors decide not to compete. Check if there are still competitors without entered times at the bottom of the list to make sure whether you proceed or not.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact the organizers, as we are happy to help!

Supersolve

For this event, we give out a scramble to everyone Friday morning. The goal is to find a way to solve it as quickly as possible, and you can practice it as much as you want beforehand. You are allowed as much time as you'd like to practice on the scramble. Note that external tools, like solvers for generating move-optimal solutions ARE ALLOWED during the preparation phase of this event.
The solving part this event will happen towards the end of Sunday, where we will call for all competitors to come up with a scrambled cube and take one solving station each. When everyone is ready, we count down and everyone starts at the same time. The winner is the one with the fastest time.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
