Registration Policy

  • Competitors must register for the competition and pay the $15 registration fee before their registration is considered complete and they are allowed to compete.
  • Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
  • There is a competitor limit of 85 persons for this competition.
  • Once registration has filled up, we will start taking a wait list. Competitors on the wait list may only compete if a spot opens up for them. Open slots are filled from the wait listed competitors on a first come, first served basis based on the order in which wait list competitors have registered.
  • Online Registration closes Friday, May 11 at midnight (Saturday 12:00am EDT).
  • Registration cancellations will receive a refund as long as the request is received before Friday, May 11 at midnight (Saturday 12:00am EDT).
  • Day of registrations will be accepted on Saturday May 12 only in the event that slots are still open and there is no wait list when online registration closes.
  • All competitors should be familiar with the WCA Regulations. Articles 2, 3, and A would be the most important to start with. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the organization team.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
