If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 93% of your registration fee.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

For Competitors: €9 per day or €16 for the weekend, per guest €2.50 for the weekend (guest children under 10 years free), the total registration fee needs to be payed via this link in step 2 of the registration steps
Only Guests can pay in cash onsite at the venue.

Registration will be closed on 23th October. We will allow guests. When we reached 100 competitors you will stay on waiting list until someone cancels

  1. You need to register on the WCA website using the registratiom-module on competition WCA-site https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/competitions/ZonhovenAutumnOpen2018/register. If it is your first competition, If it is your first competition, you need to create an WCA account first.

  3. Costs:for Competitors: €9 per day or €16 for the weekend, per guest €2.50 for the weekend (guest children under 10 years free)
  4. After your payment and registration on WCA site, we will accept your registration you will receive an email 'Zonhoven Autumn Open 2018 Registration Approved'. If we don't receive your payment within a week, your registration will be removed.
  5. Cancellation? Until october 13th we can refund the registration amount (reduced by 1 euro bank charges).

In October I will send a email to ask confirmation of your participation, when I get no answer in 72 hours I can cancel your registration and add a competitor from the waiting list.
When you are invited to participate I will ask confirmation you should send confirmation of you should answer in 48 hours

Please always check you registration and cancel in time if you can not come. If you did not cancel and did not come.

For each competitor : €0.50 goes to the WCA and €1 to Speedcubing Nederland

Zonhoven Autumn Open 2018 is a WCA competition organised by MaRaThon and volunteers.

With this competition we hope to attract a lot of local cubers and give them a chance to compete.
We also warmly invite competitors who come from abroad to give this event an international flavour.

During the championship the official WCA regulations will be applied.
Results of the championship will be added to the official WCA World Rankings

Before the competition starts all competitors can practice on the official timing equipment: the Stackmat timer.
All puzzle brands may be used during the competition, as long as the puzzles comply with the WCA regulations 2018

Zonhoven is easily reachable by car or public transportation.
Zonhoven is situated 85 km east of Brussels and 65 km west from Aachen, right by the E314 highway.
At the venue there is a very big parking, and it is free of charge.

By Bus
You can take busses 2, 48, or 18a to downtown Zonhoven.
These busses pass by 2 major train stations in the neighbourhood, being Hasselt and Kiewit.
Although taking the bus from Hasselt station is recommended and it’s about a 20min bus ride from Hasselt to Zonhoven

By Train
Zonhoven has a train station.

If you take busses 2 or 48, u have to take the „Zonhoven Church” bus stop.

The train stops at „Halve Weg”, its about 1,5km from the venue.

In the venue you can find Cafetaria Den Dijk, it opens at 10:00

There is a large supermarket close by and a there is also one 700m away from the venue that is open
There are also numerous places where you can get some take away food like fries or pizza.
You can bring your own food and drinks as well of course.

Cubediction zal weer aanwezig zijn met een verkoopstand.
Zorg ervoor dat je voldoende contant geld meeneemt voor je eventuele aankopen.

MaRaTon de organisatie heeft puzzles in de aanbieding (zeer beperkt aantal)

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
