This is a multi-location FMC competition recognized by CubingUSA as the Southern Regional FMC Championship for 2024.
The following states are eligible for the title of Southern FMC Champion:

Louisiana
Mississippi
Oklahoma
Texas

There is no competitor limit.
The base registration fee for this competition is $5 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Waitlist

If the competitor limit for your location has been reached, the waitlist opens. You can enter the waitlist by registering. and paying the fee. Competitors will be accepted from the waitlist in the order that they registered.
Competitors who do not make it off of the waitlist before the deadline (Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 11:59 PM CDT) will receive a full refund shortly before the competition.
No more registrations will be accepted from the waitlist after Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 11:59 PM CDT.

This is the 2024 multi-location FMC Southern Championship structured around the sixth annual CubingUSA Southern Championship, part of a series of Regional Championships supported by CubingUSA. The goal of these competitions is to allow competitors from all over the country to compete for regional titles. The Southern region is comprised of:

Arkansas
Louisiana
Mississippi
Oklahoma
Texas

While only residents of the southern states are eligible to win the title of Southern Champion, residents of any state or country are welcome and encouraged to compete!

The deadline to officially declare your residency in the South by listing your home state on your CubingUSA account is Friday, July 5th, 2024 at 11:59 PM CDT. Only those who declare residency by the deadline will be eligible for the Southern FMC Champion title. If you achieve the title, you may be asked to verify your residency at the competition.

Fewest Moves Challenge, or FMC, is a quiet event where competitors are given a scramble and have one hour to find the shortest solution. The regulations for the event can be found here, but below are the most important things to remember:

You can only use up to 3 3x3s
Your solution must be 80 moves or less. Rotations are included in this 80 move limit, but are not counted in the final solution.
You can only use outer face move turns to solve the puzzle - no slice moves!
You may use wide moves to move 2 layers at once (e.g. Rw), but they must be written correctly. Rw' is valid notation, but R'w or r' will result in a DNF.
You may use rotations (x, y, z), but they must be written correctly - x follows R, y follows U, z follows F. Notation such as (x) or [r] is not valid.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
