I had this idea for a while and would like to propose it. There is a +2 penalty for every puzzle off by 1 move instead of DNF. Why not be the same with FMC.

While there are long debates on the subject of +2 for misalignments, many people agree that 10e3 is intended to provide a safety net for competitors who accidentally misalign the puzzle while stopping the timer. Given that competitors have one hour in FMC to write and check a correct solution, there is no need for this concession.
