Dear WCA Community,
Over the past two and a half years I've had the distinct pleasure to serve on the WCA Board. Working with each one of my fellow board members has been an excellent experience; the open exchange of ideas between community members from all over the world who would never have met otherwise is what makes this community strong. I'm always amazed by how much we are able to accomplish as volunteers, and by the huge growth in our community that we've made possible. In 2004 we held 12 competitions. Ten years later, we held 17 competitions in one weekend.
With rapid growth, it's important to always have an eye to the future. We need to constantly look for new leaders, and give them opportunities to rethink the way we do things. Keeping things the same as they've always been isn't good enough.
Today I announce my resignation from the WCA Board. Recently I haven't been able to put in the time it takes to lead a rapidly growing, changing organization, and I don't expect this to change in the near future. I look forward to seeing new people take leadership roles in the WCA and rethink the way the WCA runs.
I'll continue to serve as a WCA Delegate in the US, and as a member of the US Nationals organization team, for the next few years as time allows. I look forward to seeing many of you next summer in Brazil!
Sincerely,
Tim Reynolds

We will miss you, Tim.
Personally, I learned a lot from you, and feel you many times brought really good solutions to cases where I failed to see a satisfactory ending.
Thank you for all the selfless work put in throughout these years. I should know how much work it really was.
