Hi, I really like solving my gear cube, but unfortunately there is no event for it. I think it would be great if it could be added as an event... It would introduce a new challenge and would be fun to compete in. Also, I am not that great at speedcubing, but if the gear cube was an event, I'd have a better chance of coming in the top 5. Hello, How many people currently speedsolve this cube ? Is there any "new" interest on solving this particular cube, comparing to all other currently "wca official" puzzles ? Adding a puzzle is not done just because people ask for! It's kind of a process that the WCA board goes through. Have a nice day, and happy new year!

But "I want to get easy podiums" does not qualify as a valid reason for adding new events, sorry. How many competitions have already held Gear Cube as an unofficial event ? This is usually a good indication of how popular a new event would be, and I don't remember having ever seen that one held at any comp I've attended, sorry.
