Information

CubingZA is excited to announce South Africa's 2023 National Championship. Compete against South Africa's fastest speedcubers and break some records! Don't forget that to participate you need to register for the competition in the "Register" tab, and make payment by buying a ticket on our Quicket page.

COMPETING

This is an open championship - meaning anyone is free to compete. All WCA events except FMC* will be held, with winners in each event being declared the 2023 South African Champion for that event.

SPECTATORS

Competitors are allowed to bring up to 2 guests as spectators. Spectators attend for free.

VOLUNTEERING

Please note that all competitors are required to assist with volunteering during the competition - either in the role of "runner", "judge" or "scrambler". These roles will be explained as part of the "New Competitor Tutorial", but you can take a look at this video.

Parents and spectators are welcome to help out with volunteer tasks as well.

SPONSORS

Massive thanks to the following sponsors, without whom this competition would not be happening.
BMG, who are generously providing their venue at BMG World for the competition, and making Nationals in Joburg a reality.
Speecubes.co.za and CubeCo, South Africa's local cube stores, who will be sponsoring prize money and store vouchers for the competition's winners.
InsightEdge (Pty) Ltd. has also generously offered to sponsor further prize money towards the winners and podium finishers.

*A separate FMC Championship will be held at a later date. This championship will take place simultaneously in multiple locations (CPT, JHB and DBN) to minimise travel requirements.
