FMC New Zealand 2023 is an official World Cube Association (WCA) sanctioned speedcubing competition.
This competition is the National Championship for the 3x3x3 Fewest Moves event.
FMC New Zealand 2023 is open to all competitors regardless of experience and skill. No prior experience in WCA competitions is necessary.
Please note this competition is for the 3x3x3 Fewest Moves event which is different to the main 3x3x3 cube event.
If you are a new competitor, please make sure to read all the information in the FAQ and other tabs before registering. All competitors should be familiar with the information in these tabs.

Online registration opened Monday, September 18, 2023 at 7:00 AM UTC and closed Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:59 AM UTC.

There is a competitor limit of 54 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $20 (New Zealand Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 10:59 AM UTC you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Friday, November 17, 2023 at 9:00 PM UTC.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Payment
Payment is made via the external website with two options to pay, either bank transfer or Paypal.
Your registration is not complete and will not be processed until you have paid the registration fee. Contact the organisational team if you encounter an issue.
Waiting List
Once the competitor limit has filled, a waiting list will be created.
You must pay the registration fee to be added to the waiting list.
New registrations will be added to the waiting list in order of payment.
If a competitor withdraws, the next person on the waiting list will be added to the competition.
The last date to make it off the waiting list would be 24 hours before the competition begins.
All competitors who remain on the waiting list after the competition will be fully refunded.Cancelling Registration
If you can no longer attend the competition, please contact the organisational team as soon as possible to cancel your registration.
Cancelling your registration enables us to maximise attendance by letting another competitor on the waiting list to attend. - Highlights

Tom Nelson won with a mean of 22.33 moves in the 3x3x3 Fewest Moves event. Cheng-Ru Yang finished second (30.00) and Richard Yiheng Tao finished third (30.67).
