Foreign competitors may pay their registration fee in cash (Php 500.00) on the day of the event.

Foreign Competitor Registration Requirement:
All foreign competitors must provide a valid plane ticket (or booking confirmation) as proof of travel to the event. The ticket must be submitted by May 26, 2025. Competitors should email their ticket, along with their name and WCA ID, to karlmartinmontealto4@gmail.com with the subject "LMMM2025" Competitors who fail to submit this will not be approved for registration.

FIRST TIME COMPETITORS

All newcomers are required to read the WCA First-time Competitor Guide document to familiarize yourself of the WCA regulations used to govern WCA-sanctioned competitions. Additionally, please watch this competitor tutorial by WCA Senior Delegate Kit Clement of the USA.

ALL COMPETITORS

Please make sure to bring your Vaccination Card in case that the venue requires you to present it.

When you arrive at the competition venue, kindly follow the following steps:
1. Head to the registration table and sign on the competitor masterlist.
2. Get your Certificate of Participation, Event Schedule and grouping/officiating Team Assignment. You will be assigned to officiate at some point during the competition so be sure to take note of your assignement to avoid being disqualified. As per WCA Regulation 1e2, all competitors must be ready to officiate when called or assigned to. Declining such assignment merits disqualification at the discretion of the WCA Delegate.
3. Go inside the venue hall and wait for the competition to start.

This competition will also host unofficial events. The results will be recorded through Cubing Contests, and will then be added to the rankings.

Rubik's Magic

Description:
The Magic event follows the original WCA Magic event regulations.

Regulations:

  • Puzzle Submission: Competitors must submit one Three Ring Magic Folding Puzzle.
  • Format: Average of 5 (Ao5) — the final result is the average of five solves, excluding the best and worst times.

Procedure:
* Competitors may practice on the competition timer.
* Official solves begin when both the judge and competitor agree to start.
* All subsequent solves are official attempts.

Scrambling & Inspection:
1. The puzzle is not scrambled before the solve.
2. There is no inspection phase.
3. The judge will not cover the puzzle at any time.
Starting Position:
The puzzle must be placed flat on the surface, with either side facing up.

Time Limit:
The time limit is 1:00. Exceeding this results in a DNF.

GTBLD (Green Tea Blindfolded)

Description:
Competitors drink a 335ml bottle of flavoured green tea while solving a 3x3 Cube blindfolded. The beverage is non-alcoholic.

Regulations:

  • Competitors must submit a standard 3x3 cube, following official 3x3 Blindfolded regulations.
  • Format: Best of 1 (Bo1) — each competitor has one attempt.

Procedure:
1. Start the timer.
2. Memorize the cube.
3. Don the blindfold.
4. Open the green tea bottle and begin drinking.
5. Solve the cube while blindfolded.
6. Stop the timer once the cube is solved and the bottle is empty.

Disqualifications & Penalties:
* Spilling the beverage results in a DNF.
* The judge decides if the bottle is sufficiently empty to count as a successful solve.
Time Limit:
The time limit is 10:00. Exceeding this results in a DNF.

From Marikina, Quiapo and Taguig commuters

a. Marikina, Quiapo and Taguig Areas have jeepneeys going to Pasig Market (Palengke) directly. Ride the jeep and tell the driver that you are going to Jollibee Palengke (a well known landmark of Pasig Palengke)

b. From there, go down from your jeep and go to tricycle terminal just the right side of Jollibee and look for yellow tricycle terminal (SPRGREYTODA). Tell the driver that you are going to Greenwoods Area 3 Phase 7 court. The fare is around P17 from the terminal to venue.

From Cubao Commuters

a. Go to the old Araneta Center Bus Terminal and look for a white minibus with a Cubao - Rosario (Sta. Lucia Pasig) Route. At the end of the route, you should be at Puregold Rosario-Pasig (shown below).

b. From there, ride another jeep/minibus going to Pasig Palengke then follow the step b instructions of "From Marikina, Quiapo, and Taguig commuters" .

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
