We will have a concession stand running during the event, although feel free to leave to go eat at a restaurant so long as all competitors are back for their next event in time. PLEASE READ
Albany is a very small town, and some people may have difficulties getting service in the area. Please be prepared to be without data while driving. There will be wifi at the school, but it may not be public.
Comptetitors:
This competition will have Hungarian Style judging. This means that all competitors are repsonsible for staffing the heat after they have competed. You can find some helpful information on judging in this video. We recommend all competitors have a good knowledge of the WCA regulations, particularly Articles 1, 2, 4, and 10. If you fail to staff the heat after you have competed, and we do not have enough staff, we reserve the right to disqualify you. If you are in the last heat of an event, you must staff during the first heat. If you do have any questions about judging, running, or scrambling, please contact us.
Other Information
Directions:
Highway 59 runs directly through Albany, if you are traveling from the north, take a left onto Cincinnati st as you get into town, you will pass a mobile and a dollar general. Then take a right onto Summit st, then right again onto 6th st, the school will be in front of you.
If traveling from the south, take a right into County Hwy E/S Mechanic St in the middle of town, and then left onto Vinton St, the school will be on the left.
Parking: There is some parking in a lot on school grounds, as well as alongside the school park on 6th st. These spots will likely fill quickly, and from there simply try to find parking alongside the road, remember no parking in front of driveways, mailboxes, yellow curbs, or in a place that you would be blocking an intersection.
Concessions will be available at this competition, there are other restaurants available in town, such as the Edgewater Cafe, Dam Near Home, and Gabriella's. However, these businesses will most likely be very busy during the lunch hour, and there are no fast food restaurants in Albany.

The registration for this competition is full. You must register and pay the fee to be added to the waitlist. We will be selecting people from the waitlist on first-come-first-serve basis if spots open up. If you are not selected from the waitlist to compete, your fee will be fully refunded.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
