Get ready for the second edition of Bay Area Side Events Day!The main focus of this competition is its unofficial events, which are not recognized by the WCA. For more details and unofficial events registration, see the Unofficial Events tab.
Competition Day Timing
- The competition will begin at the scheduled start time.
- Lunch will end at the scheduled time.
- Events will begin as soon as the previous event is wrapping up. Exception: All First Round events will not start more than 20 minutes early.
- Competitors may not compete in an event if they miss last call for that event. In general, last call is a few minutes after the last group is called.If you like big cubes and blindfolded solving, check out Bay Area Slowcubin' 2025, a competition in San Jose on the same weekend!

There is a competitor limit of 225 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $35 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 4:00 AM UTC you will be refunded 80% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 4:00 AM UTC.
We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of $35 (United States Dollar).
ON THE SPOT REGISTRATION:
- Missed the deadline to register online? You can register and pay for this competition in person! We will accept payment via cash or PayPal. Please note we will not accept bills over $20.
- Competitors who plan to register on the spot should show up before the start of events they wish to compete in. If a round is in progress at the time of registration, competitors who register on the spot might not be allowed to participate in that round.
Waitlist:
- Once the competitor limit has been reached, the waitlist will be opened.
- You must pay the registration fee to be added to the waitlist.
- New registrations will be added to a waitlist and sorted in the order of payment.
- Waitlisted competitors will only be added to the competition if an existing competitor withdraws.
- All competitors still on the waiting list after Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 8:00 PM PST will be removed and provided a full refund.
- You can see your position on the waitlist by checking the "Waitlist" tab.
Deleting Registration/Refunds:
- If you can no longer make the competition, you may request a partial refund.
- To receive a partial refund, you must contact the organizational team by Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 8:00 PM PST.
- Withdrawing enables us to maximize attendance and allows competitors on the waiting list to attend.
Changing Events:
- You may change the events you are registered for by contacting the organizational team.
- Competitors may add events up until the event has started. It is acceptable to not show up for any event you do not wish to compete in.
- For unofficial events: You may register for any unofficial event on the day of the competition except for 2-Person Mini Guildford.
Unofficial Events:
- This competition has a variety of unofficial events that are not listed on the Register page. For more information and instructions on how to register for these events, see the "Unofficial Events" tab.
- You may register for any unofficial event on the day of the competition except for 2-Person Mini Guildford.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STAFF:
- For budgetary reasons, we can only offer a partial registration fee reimbursement for staffers, up to $15.
- You MUST fill out the staff interest form to be on staff. For more information, see the "Staffing" tab. Note that filling out this form does NOT guarantee a spot on staff.
