This competition is right after the multi-venue competition FMC Americas 2019 and only has blindfolded events. You must register for each competition separately.
Spectators are welcome, but must be absolutely silent to allow competitors to concentrate.

The base registration fee for this competition is $5 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
This is a separate competition from FMC Americas 2019; registering here does not register you for FMC Americas 2019.

This competition will have no "normal" sighted events, only blindfolded events! If it is your first time competing in these events, please make sure you are familiar with the WCA regulations regarding blindfolded solving before the day of the competition.
If you don't want to compete but would still like to come and watch, that is totally fine, as long as you make sure to remain quiet out of respect for the competitors. Any noise or distractions can ruin an attempt for someone, so anybody causing disruptions during the competition will be asked to leave.

The competition venue will be at Room 2504, located at the second floor of the Nest. The actual room can be found in this map (circled in black):
Public transport
UBC is accessible with buses (4, 14, 99, etc.) and the Nest is just a few minutes walk from the bus loop.
NOTE: We had received issues regarding bus delays due to constructions and other unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, we strongly recommend you to check on Translink Transit Alerts and plan your trip beforehand to avoid any delays.

Food
There will be food eateries open at The Nest, as well as the University Village within a few minutes walk.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
