The registration fee for this competition is $15.00. The WCA Stripe payment system is being used for this competition. You will be prompted to pay following registration. You are not considered registered until you pay via Stripe.

This competition serves as a fundraiser for CubingUSA. All profits from this competition will be donated to the organization, which is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Information about CubingUSA can be found here.

If you paid but don't see your name on the registration list within 48 hours of payment, please email the organizers. Despite the use of the Stripe payment system, organizers still have to manually move competitors to the approved competitor list following payment.

You must register and pay online to compete. No at-the-door registrations or payments will be accepted under any circumstances. We realize this may not be ideal for some people, but this allows us to have an exact count of people attending and lets us use staff resources more effectively the day of the competition. Spectators may attend for free.

Binghamton University students, faculty, or other employees may compete free of charge. Email the organizer to prompt us to waive your payment. Please be ready to provide confirmation of enrollment/employment should this be the case.

Competitions rely on volunteer help in order to stay on schedule and maintain planned cutoffs/time limits/events. Therefore, it is imperative that all competitors help out by running, judging, or scrambling when their competitor group is not up. For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of any age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

First, please be familiar with the WCA Regulations, found here:

Q&A:
Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?

A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete, however, we will have a vendor at this competition, from which you can buy puzzles if your current ones have seen better days.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?

A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: What is the competition like?

A: At the competition there will be a competing area, which will occupy one side of the competition hall, where you will see lots of timers flickering with contestants new personal bests, and a vendor, where you can purchase all you cubing related needs. Most competitions have a break for lunch, and the competing is split up into groups, so as to better organize who competes when. (Check the Groups tab and listen at the competition for more info on this.)

Q: How do I find results?

A: All results are posted on the WCA page a couple of days after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to cubecomps.com to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about 2nd and 3rd rounds of events.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?

A: Make sure you pay you entrance fee in order to be automatically placed on the registered list, which will also guarantee you a spot in the competition. If payment may be any issue, or you are not sure if you can attend, use the contact button to talk to us, and see if we can work out another payment strategy, or have you pay on arrival at the compeition. No matter what you situation may be however, please register online. It is much easier for us to have you register now and pay later, then to have to input information at another time.

Q: Are there age divisions?

A: Nope! All cometitors compete in the same age group.

The competition will take place in Old Union Hall, which is located on the first floor of the University Union.

Due to the competition starting later than usual, lunch will not be provided, nor is it included in the competition's schedule. However, many options are available in the Market Place, which is a short walk away from Old Union Hall. A list of options available in the Market Place can be found here

Additionally, right outside of Old Union Hall, there is a Dunkin Donuts that will be open from 10am-6pm.

Parking Options:
Parking on Binghamton University campus is free on the weekends starting Friday after 5 pm. Any vacant space in a lot that is not a state service vehicle, handicap, paid meter, loading zone, or purple heart service member space is available.

However, students still use these spaces, so a guaranteed open space will be in Lot M2. Enter campus via Glenn G. Bartle Drive, and continue to the right around the loop. On the right-hand side of the loop, as soon as you pass the traffic circle, there will be a bus stop. Turn right on the access road directly after the bus stop and follow the road until a large open lot is on your immediate right. Refer to the Campus Map for a visual.

Groups can be found here. Please know your groups, as we will be calling groups rather than individual names or alphabetized collections of competitors.

All competitors will also have judging and/or scrambling assignments by event. During those groups, you are expected to be fulfilling the task expected of you. If you do not, your times may be disqualified. If you are unfamiliar with how to judge, there will be a brief tutorial at the beginning of the day. You can also ask an organizer or Delegate if you have questions on this.
