Registration Information:

How to Register Online
The competitor limit for this competition is 80.
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration cost of $20.00. (The registration cost is the same, regardless of how many events are selected.)

PLEASE NOTE: If you paid but don't see your name on the registration list within 48 hours of payment (assuming 80 competitors aren't on the competitor list already), please email the organizers. Despite the use of the Stripe payment system, organizers still have to manually move competitors to the approved competitor list following payment.

How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe.
Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."

Withdrawing Registration
If you have registered and are no longer able to attend, please contact us via email.
If you withdraw your registration before registration closes (Friday, July 20, 2018, 8:00 PM EDT), you are eligible for a refund of your registration cost. There will be no refunds issued after Friday, July 20, 2018, 8:00 PM EDT. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.

Any requested changes to registration before registration closes will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list. If you believe you paid and your name isn't showing up, please contact us so that we can assist you.

Competitors MUST register and pay online in order to compete. No at-the-door registrations or payments will be accepted.

Waitlist Information:

We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. Once the 80th competitor has paid, we will not close registration until we have a waitlist of 5 competitors (not including the 80 who will be/are listed on the competitors tab). To secure a place on the waitlist once 80 competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. If you see that you cannot pay to be on the waitlist (registration will have closed), it means we have reached the waitlist threshold (5) and have therefore closed registration.

If you are emailed notifying you that you can compete, you have 48 hours to respond confirming your attendance before your registration will be refunded and we move on to the next competitor. Therefore, it is imperative that you check your emails frequently if you are on the waitlist.

Once the deadline to request a refund has passed, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be refunded.

* The competing/judging tutorial is required for all competitors who are either new or unfamiliar with how to judge solves.

The next event will start immediately following the previous event. Please note that you must be present at the start of each event and round in which you wish to participate in order to avoid disqualification.

While we don't plan to make changes, the schedule is subject to change at any time. All changes will be announced. We aim to adhere to this schedule.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST READ THIS TAB BEFORE REGISTERING.

NEWCOMERS:

There are multiple things a first-timer must know before competing. All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. There is a video here for the basic overview of the rules.

ALL COMPETITORS:

All competitors are expected to help out at this competition. In addition to your competing groups, all competitors will receive groups in which they are expected to either judge, scramble, or run. All assignments will be organized by group, meaning that when we call a particular group of an event up to compete, if you are scheduled to judge/scramble/run during that group, you will come up and start performing your assigned task. If you do not show up for your assignments, your times may be subject to disqualification.

If you're interested in helping out at this competition, consider applying to join the staff!

If you wish to staff this competition, please fill out this form.

Staff members are required to pay the registration fee up-front. They will receive a full refund after the competition assuming they attend. While we would like to be able to be able to waive registration fees before the competition (as opposed to after it ends), we have had too many instances of staff members not showing up to a competition without notifying the organizational team.

Staff Perks:

  • Free lunch provided
  • Refunded registration fee after the competition (should you attend and fulfill all staff expectations and responsibilities)

Those who are accepted onto staff will receive an email confirmation with more details. Staff will be assigned jobs (extending beyond those required of all competitors) when they are not competing.
