Newcomer information

If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:

• According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.

• All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Tutorial (see schedule).

• Every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition! A more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial.

• Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.

• Feel free to contact the organizer if you have any uncertainties.

Live results are available via WCA Live. All results will later be uploaded to the WCA database after the competition, and will be available right here.

Informationen für Neulinge

Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:

• Alle Neulinge sind dazu verpflichtet ein Ausweisdokument an der Anmeldung vorzuzeigen (Regulation 2e)). Aus dem Dokument müssen Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum hervorgehen.

• Alle Neulinge sind eindringlich gebeten, am Tutorial (siehe Zeitplan) teilzunehmen.

• Jeder Teilnehmer sollte bereits vor der Meisterschaft mindestens einmal die offiziellen Regeln der WCA gelesen haben. Zusätzlich ist ein Blick in das WCA Competition Tutorial mehr als ratsam für alle Neulinge!

• Keine Angst: während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen zu stellen.

• Bei wichtigen Fragen vor dem Turnier kannst du dich gerne an das Organisationsteam wenden.

Live Ergebnisse sind über WCA Live verfügbar. Nach dem Wettkampf werden alle Ergebnisse in die Datenbank der WCA hochgeladen, und auf dieser Seite einzusehen sein.

All competitors must have read the WCA Regulations and the competitor tutorial!
We will have a quick run down before the first event, and explain how to compete and judge. There will be a demonstration by some of our most experienced cubers. You can find out when this will happen in the schedule tab.

You are expected to help during the competition. For each event you participate in, you will then need to judge at least one other group in the same event. If you see a lack of judges or we call your name, please step in and help! This helps the competition run a lot smoother!

Every time there is any blindfolded event, there has to be complete silence! It requires a lot of concentration, so please be silent. If you need to talk or make noise, please leave the venue room where people are solving to do so.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Only pictures without the use of flash are allowed.
You are also allowed to film your official attempts, as long as the camera's screen is out of sight.

All spectators must remain at least 1,5 meters away from every solving station.

When a round is in progress, then all competitors in the current group must wait in the competitor waiting area, until they get called up to solve.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done! Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

You only need to be present, when you have to compete, in the events that you're registered for! We recommend that you are present half an hour up to one hour before your first event, since the schedule might change. If you can only be present one of the days, then you can only compete in the events on the given date.

Use an e-mail address that you regularly check!
When we approach the competition date, you will receive an email. It will contain some changes that might have happened. It will also contain more ‘up to date’ information, which you might need.

Alle Teilnehmer müssen mit den WCA Regulations und dem Competitor Tutorial vertraut sein.
An beiden Tagen werden wir vor Ort jeweils auch eine Anleitung zum Teilnehmen und Judgen anbieten. Bitte schaut hierfür in den Zeitplan.

Das Helfen und Judgen während der Competition ist verpflichtend. Im besten Fall hilfst du in den Events, in denen du teilnimmst, jeweils in der anderen Gruppe aus. Das hilft den Zeitplan einzuhalten und den Wettbewerb am Laufen zu behalten.

Während aller "Blindfolded" Events muss absolute Ruhe im Raum herrschen, da viel Konzentration benötigt wird. Wer sich unterhalten will, verlässt für die Zeit des Events den Raum.

Bitte keine Fotos mit Blitz machen, weil dies die Teilnehmer ablenkt. Fotos ohne Blitz sind erlaubt.
Du darfst deine Versuche filmen, allerdings muss der Kamerabildschirm außer Sicht sein.

Alle Zuschauer halten mindestens 1,5 Meter Abstand zu den Stationen.

Wenn eine Runde läuft, warten alle Teilnehmer der Gruppe in dem Wartebereich, bis sie zum Versuch von einem Judge aufgerufen werden.

Wer während einer Runde über die Scrambles spricht, kann disqualifiziert werden!

Du musst nur zu den Events da sein, für die du dich angemeldet hast. Wir empfehlen, mindestens eine halbe Stunde vor deinem ersten Event da zu sein. Wenn du nur an einem Tag kannst, kannst du auch nur an den entsprechenden Events des Tages teilnehmen.

Bitte verwende bei der Anmeldung eine Mailadresse, die du regelmäßig liest!
Mit dem Näherrücken des Wettbewerbes wirst du mehrere Emails erhalten, in denen z.B. Gruppen- und Scramblerlisten enhalten sind.

The following safety rules and precautions apply:

• Possible Mask Requirement/3G Control: We reserve the right to require medical masks/FFP2 masks to be worn during the competition or to conduct 3G controls (vaccinated, recovered, tested) at the competition if the pandemic situation demands this. The final decision will be made one or two weeks prior to the competition, and on 31th of March the website will be updated as well as all competitors will be informed via email.
• Symptoms: Persons that show covid symptoms such as fever, coughing or fatigue on the day of the competition and were in contact with a Covid-19 patient in the week prior to the competition are not allowed to enter the venue and/or compete. Persons that show weak Covid symptoms such as coughing or fatigue on the day of the competition OR persons that were in contact with a Covid-19 patient in the week prior to the competition have to do a rapid self-test or certified antigen test (with a negative result) prior to attending the competition.

Attention: The rules stated above serve to ensure the safe execution of the competition for all competitors. Ignoring and willful or repeated violating of these rules will result in disqualification and exclusion from the competition.

The rules above are in compliance with the laws in force (see the Covid-19 Safety Policy in Bremen). Please note that we do not have any influence on the regulations set by the laws. In case these laws change and we have to alter our COVID Safety Rules or even cancel the competition entirely, all competitors will be notified via email and the registration fee will be paid back if possible.

If you plan to travel to the competition from another country, please take a look at the current entry restrictions for Germany and follow the regulations set there.

Es gelten die folgenden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und Regeln:

• Mögliche Maskenpflicht/3G-Kontrollen: Wir behalten uns das Recht vor, eine Maskenpflicht (medizinische Maske/FFP2-Maske) durchzusetzen oder 3G-Kontrollen durchzuführen, sofern die pandemische Lage dies erfordert. Die endgültige Entscheidung dazu wird 1-2 Wochen vor dem Wettbewerb getroffen und spätestens am 31. März auf der Website vermerkt sowie den Teilnehmern in einer Rundmail mitgeteilt.
• Symptome: Personen, die am Tag des Wettbewerbs Covid-Symptome wie Fieber, Husten oder Abgeschlagenheit zeigen und in der Woche vor dem Wettbewerb mit einem Covid-19-Erkrankten Kontakt hatten, dürfen die Venue nicht betreten und nicht am Wettbewerb teilnehmen. Wer in der Woche vor dem Wettbewerb mit einem Covid-19-Erkrankten Kontakt hatte ODER geringfügige Covid-Symptome wie Husten oder Abgeschlagenheit zeigt, muss vor dem Wettbewerb einen Selbsttest/zertifizierten Schnelltest ("Bürgertest") machen, der natürlich negativ ausfallen muss.

Achtung: Die oben genannten Regeln dienen der Durchführung einer sicheren Veranstaltung für alle Teilnehmer. Nichtbeachten der Regeln und mutwilliges oder wiederholtes Zuwiderhandeln führen zur Disqualifikation und Ausschluss von der Veranstaltung.

Die obigen Regeln erfüllen die aktuell gültige Corona-Schutzverordnung in Bremen in vollem Umfang. Bitte beachte, dass wir keinen Einfluss auf gesetzliche Regelungen haben. Sollte es kurzfristig zu Änderungen kommen wegen denen wir unsere COVID-Sicherheits-Richtlinien verschärfen, oder den Wettbewerb sogar komplett absagen müssen, werden alle Teilnehmer per E-Mail benachrichtigt und die Teilnahmegebühr wenn nötig zurückgezahlt.

Falls du zum Wettbewerb aus einem anderen Land als Deutschland anreisen möchtest, beachte bitte die derzeitigen Einreiseregelungen für Deutschland und leiste den dort beschriebenen Anweisungen Folge.

If you arrive by train, you should take the tram line 6 that goes to "Universität/Zentralbereich" directly from the Central Station.
If you arrive by car, there will be parking lots around the venue for approximately 2€ per day.

There are a lot of hotels close to the venue, nearest ones are the hotel "7THINGS" and the "ATLANTIC" hotel next to the Universum Bremen.

There is a bakery and a supermarket 200m away from the venue
* The Supermarket is open until 21:00 on Saturday.
* The bakery is open until 14:00 on Saturday.

Please take note that the 7th of April is Good Friday which means that supermarkets and other stores will likely be closed.

Eine Bäckerei und ein Aldi sind 200m von der Venue entfernt.
* Der Supermarkt hat am Samstag bis 21:00 geöffnet.

On Friday evening, we can use in the venue until 9:30 pm and everyone is invited to stay at the venue and spend some time together. We plan on ordering some food and having a great evening.
