The groups for the competition can be found here: https://www.competitiongroups.com/competitions/CharlottetownMini2024

The groups will be published here after the registration period has ended. These groups are when you are assigned to compete, judge and/or scramble during an event you are registered for.

Per Regulations 1e2 and 1f2, all competitors must be available to help judge and scramble. If you're unsure how to judge, please review the WCA Regulations, watch this video, or ask one of the WCA Delegates at the competition.

Please plan to arrive to each of your groups five minutes before it is scheduled to begin. Showing up excessively late to your group may result in not being allowed to compete in that event.

Other questions

Q: When does the competition start? When should I arrive at the venue?

The check-in desk opens at 12:30 PM, morning announcements and a first-timer competitor tutorial are at 1:00 PM, and the first event (2x2x2 cube) starts at 1:15 PM. Please see the schedule for full details.

Q: Who is allowed to compete?
A: Cubers of all ages are able to compete! Do not be hesitant if you are not experienced with cubing or competing, we encourage newcomers to come along. We will have a first-timer competitor tutorial to help with the process.

Q: Whose cubes do I use?
A: When competing, it is ideal to use your own cube. Make sure you have one ready to go when it is time to compete. (The competition will NOT supply you with cubes to compete with.) Timing equipment will be there to compete with.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
