Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $30. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
The competitor limit for this competition is 90. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 90 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Monday, October 6, 2025 at 8:00 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 75% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 8:00 PM EDT, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.
FAQ
Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.
Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 90 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.
How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.
Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.
Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.
This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.
I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.
When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.
Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.
For All Competitors
Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This could be displayed in one of two ways, either as a pdf or as a website link to competitiongroups.com.
If you recieve a pdf, it will contain multiple competitor cards. Find the card with your name on it, and it will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look similar to the following:

If you recieve a website link to competitiongroups.com, click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
Venue
The competition is at Faith Bible Church located at 8130 E Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
Travel
The church is located very close to I-71 and I-275. From I-71, take exit 19. From I-275 take exit 50. Please note the drive to the church is immediately on the right once you go through the highway underpass on Kemper Road.

Parking and entrance
There is plenty of parking at the venue. The competition will be held in the gym. It is located to the right once you enter the lobby.

There are numerous hotels nearby where you can stay including: the Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Candlewood Suites, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Drury Inn, and Marriott Cincinnati Northeast, among many others.

This competition will also hold unofficial events. The results will be recorded through Cubing Contests, and will then be added to the rankings.

Rules
This is a special unofficial event that will feature 2 people solving a cube at once. 1 person must turn and would have a blindfold on, while the other tells them the moves to perform on the cube.
To sign up, you must have a teamate with decicions on who is taking which of the two roles
Include each members' name and WCA ID in the sign up form
Substitutes are allowed after submission by emailing the organization team.
If a team member is not present on the day of the competition, they may be substituted by a different competitor with approval from the organization team.
Teams will be selected in order of registration. Further team registrations will be placed on a waiting list.
If a team drops from the event or is fully not present on the competition date, teams from the waitlist will be accepted in order of submision.

Sign Up Form: Team-Blind Sign-Up
- This event requires 2 people
- One person will be seated and will have a blindfold on. The judge may add addional vision blocker to prevent cheating.
- The other person, also known as the caller, will be standing and giving instructions to the solver.
- The solver must have their blindfold on before and while starting the timer and is only allowed to take it off after they finish their solve
- The solver with their blindfold on will start the timer ALL TIMER START | STOP RULES STILL APPLY HERE, take the cube cover off, and position the cube so that the caller can see it and determine the moves to make. The caller must not touch the puzzle at any cost.
- After the solve is finished, the solver can lift their blindfold off to check their result.
Note: This is an unofficial team event, no results will be stored in the WCA database.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
