Informationen für Neulinge

Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:

• Alle Neulinge sind dazu verpflichtet ein Ausweisdokument an der Anmeldung vor zu zeigen (Regulation 2e)). Aus dem Dokument müssen Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum hervorgehen.

• Alle Neulinge sind eindringlich gebeten, am Tutorial (siehe Zeitplan) teilzunehmen.

• Jeder Teilnehmer sollte bereits vor der Meisterschaft mindestens einmal die offiziellen Regeln der WCA gelesen haben. Zusätzlich ist ein Blick in unsere Teilnehmer-Anleitung sowie das WCA Competition Tutorial mehr als ratsam für alle Neulinge!

• Keine Angst: während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen zu stellen.

• Bei wichtigen Fragen vor dem Turnier kannst du dich gerne an das Organisationsteam wenden.

Newcomer information

If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:

• According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.

• All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Tutorial (see schedule).

• Every competitor should have read the official WCA regulations at least once before attending the competition! A more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial.

• Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.

• Feel free to contact the organizer if you have any uncertainties.

Auf der Veranstaltung können eventuell Foto- und Videoaufnahmen gemacht werden. Alle Fotos und Videos werden nach der Veranstaltung den Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern zur Verfügung gestellt.

Einverständnis: Mit deiner Anmeldung erklärst du dich damit einverstanden, dass Fotos oder Videos von dir später veröffentlicht werden können. Gleiches gilt für Gäste, die Teilnehmer begleiten oder generell zuschauen.
Unter 18 Jahre alt? Bitte hol dir dein Einverständnis deiner Eltern dazu.

Photography and video recordings may be taken at the event. All photos and videos will be made available to participants after the event. The same applies to guests accompanying participants or watching in general.

Mit dem Auto navigiert man am besten nach Schweinfurt in die Franz-Schubert-Straße. Direkt gegenüber der Stadtwerke Schweinfurt in der Franz-Schubert-Straße befindet sich ein ausreichend großer Parkplatz (maps: "Stadtwerke Schweinfurt, Franz-Schubert-Straße"). Von dort aus folgt man auf dem Gehweg der Franz-Schubert-Straße zur Eventlocation (siehe Grafik unten).

Mit der Bahn fährt man bis Schweinfurt Hauptbahnhof. Von dort erreicht man die Location in etwa 20 Minuten zu Fuß (2,5 km).

Das Event findet im Erdgeschoss statt und ist leicht auffindbar nach Betreten des Gebäudes.

Arriving by car, please navigate to Franz-Schubert-Straße in Schweinfurt. On the opposite side of the Stadtwerke Schweinfurt in the Franz-Schubert-Straße you will find a large parking place (maps: "Stadtwerke Schweinfurt, Franz-Schubert-Straße"). Once parked, please follow the footpath along Franz-Schubert-Straße to the event location (see illustration below).

Arriving by train, please travel until Schweinfurt Hauptbahnhof. From there, the event location is in 20 minute walking distance (2,5 km).

Team Blind, Head-to-head, Mosaik, Verlosung und vieles mehr!

Am Freitagabend (15.12.) wollen wir vor allem Spaß haben!

Wir starten um 17 Uhr mit dem Weltrekordversuch von Jakbob Schöley. Jakob wird mit 3 Cubes (3x3) jonglieren und diese dabei lösen. Danach, ab ca. 18 Uhr heißt es: Game Night meets Cubing! Auf einer großen Eventfläche wird es parallel einen großen Brettspielabend zusammen mit Studierenden der Hochschule und eine Cubing Night geben.

Beim Cubing werden wir ein Teamblind und ein Head-to-Head Turnier anbieten (Registration hier: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemsl6Kt_clpFfytstwCiNxSQkn98tv7sy1yYTBZaw_-_miRA/viewform). Der Spaß steht im Vordergrund und ein paar kleine Preise wird es auch geben. Außerdem wollen wir ein Zeichen für den Frieden setzen und gemeinsam ein Mosaik mit dem Friedenssymbol und dem Logo der Hochschule kreieren. Zudem laden wir euch ein, Cubes und andere Puzzles einzupacken, die Ihr evtl. auf unserer kleinen Börse verkaufen wollt. Im Verlauf des Abends werden wir auch eine kleine Verlosung unter allen Anwesenden machen und unter anderem einen Moyu RS3M V5 (hochwertigste Version, Ball-core) verlosen.

Parallel kommen auf der Boardgame Night Studierende an diesem Abend zusammen, um in gemütlicher Runde mit Drinks und Snacks altbekannte und neue Brettspiele zu spielen. Egal ob Schach, Monopoly, Catan oder der Jenga Tower, alles ist dabei!

Natürlich darf sich jeden den ganzen Abend frei bewegen und Cuben und/oder Spielen, was das Zeug hält!

Friday evening (Dec. 15'th) is all about having fun!

We will start at 5pm with the world record attempt from Jakob Schöley. Jakob will juggle with 3 cubes (3x3) while solving them at the same time. After that, starting at 6pm, the motto is “game night meets cubing!” The rest of the evening everybody will have the possibility to play board games with the students of the university and/or participate at some fun cubing action.

At cubing, we will offer a team blind and head-to-head tournament (find registration here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdYc74EmvkKtVVLS5wCIEHQsRrMaWJaEIJ9kGDI7oStigBDZg/viewform). This is about fun and entertainment, but we have a few, small prizes for the winners). On top of that we want to create a large mosaic with a peace-symbol, together with the logo of the university as the host of the event. Also, we invite you to bring some puzzles you would like to sell during the evening at our small cube sale market. During the evening, there will also be a small lottery and we will give away a few prizes, such as a new Moyu RS3M V5 (high end version, ball-core).

During the whole night you will have the possibility to get together with students from the university to enjoy drinks and snacks and play some old and new board games, such as chess, Catan, Monopoly or the Jenga Tower.

Of course, it is your choice what to do and you can move around freely the whole evening! 
