There is a 130 competitor limit for this competition. Please register as soon as you can to ensure a spot. Registration closes at the end of the day on Monday, October 23rd. We will give refunds to competitors who let us know before Registration closes, but no refunds after October 23rd.
We also have two Facebook groups for our Cubing Area. Minnesota Cubing Community and Iowa Cubing. You can join one or both of these groups to stay updated with upcoming competitions in the area.
ALL COMPETITORS MUST READ THIS TAB BEFORE REGISTERING.
FOR FIRST-TIME COMPETITORS:
There are multiple things a first-timer must know before competing. All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. There is a video here for the basic overview of the rules.
In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition to learn about the procedures for judging. Thanks to Olivér Perge and Niki Placskó for providing this detailed judging information document.
ALL COMPETITORS:
When you arrive, you will receive a card/nametag with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also receive staffing assignments. All competitors are expected to help at this competition. For each event you sign up for, you will be assigned to help out for just one group of that event. If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
We will provide a judging tutorial at the beginning of the day, right before the start of the 3x3x3 speedsolve event. This will allow anyone with questions about how to judge to be properly prepared when they are expected to help. We hope that this system will fairly divide up the judging of the competition and make the competition run smoothly for all.

SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. (Based on registration)
These are both the Heats where you will be competing in and the Heats where you will be helping.
For each event you are competing in, you will have a number in the column without a Parentheses. You are to come up to compete at that time when that heat is called.
For each event you are competing in, you will also be helping the competition by either Judging/Running (J) or Scrambling (S). That is signified by the letter and number in Parentheses. The letter lets you know how you will be helping and the number lets you know which heat you will be helping in. (Please keep in mind that you might be assigned to help judge/scramble an event that you did not sign up for.)
Also keep in mind that helping assignments are usually right after you compete in an event so that is a good indication to check your schedule to see if its your turn to help.
Example: Aaron Joslin for 2x2 will be competing in heat 5. After he is finished solving, he will then be helping Judge/Running for Heat 8 of 2x2.
This system is to help keep the competition running smoothly and on time. We will also need help either judging, running, or scrambling throughout the day and would very much appreciate any additional help people give.
New competitors are not assigned positions to help but are more than welcome to help if you watch during the judging tutorial at the beginning of the day.
