All the participants are requested to volunteer in the competition and every participant (except the New comers) will be assigned to a particular event that they have to Judge (or) Scramble in which they are participating.
All the staff/volunteering assignments will be decided by the organising team and participants will be informed of the same 2 days prior to the event, we will ensure that your volunteering does not affect your events.Please check out all the tabs for additional important information.

Registration for the event will only be accepted if a person has preregistered on the WCA page AND made the payment.
Fees Structure:
The base fee of the competition is Rs 800.
If the competitor is participating in 1-3 events, then the registration fee is going to be Rs 800.
If the competitor is participating in 4-8 events, then the registration fee is going to be Rs 1200
Please do the payment of each participant separately.
Note:
1) It is mandatory to pay the registration fees and also register on WCA to complete the full registration process.
2) It may take a day or 2 for your name to reflect on competitors list on WCA.
For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!
We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

We have a video made specifically for new cubers, to show them the basics of competing. This video will explain most of what any cuber competing for the first time will need to know.

FAQs
Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.
Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!
Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.
Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.
Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.
Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

The organizing team needs volunteers (preferably who have attended competitions previously) for DC Winter Open 2024!
Volunteers are required to help organizing team with the competition activities including judging, scrambling, running etc. for the event.
Participants selected as volunteers shall be provided free lunch by the organizing team for both days and will be given a token of appreciation.

Please note that Non-Vegetarian food is not allowed anywhere near the premises or the playing hall.
There are many food places within 1km radius of the venue. People can order food online as long as it is veg.
Participants selected as volunteers shall be provided free lunch by the organizing team.
Reaching the Venue
The venue is within the city and participants can reach the venue by taking a metro or auto/cab. The nearest Metro station is Nampally(Red Line)/Narayanguda(Green Line)
Both metro stations are roughly 1.5km away from the venue.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
