CUS Catania

FROM CATANIA AIRPORT:
take the Alibus line (4 €; ticket can be bought on board) direct to Catania Centro and get off at the Via Etnea stop (in front of Feltrinelli store) -> take the BRT 1 line (1 €; ticket must be previously bought from a smoke shop (Tabaccheria), a newsstand or from the blue vending machines you can find around the city centre) direct to Due Obelischi and get off at the Via Santa Sofia stop -> the CUS, our venue, is few steps from the bus stop.

FROM CATANIA CENTRAL TRAIN STATION (3 options):

1) take the Metro train (1 €), the Metro station being at less than 100 mt from Central Station, direct to Nesima and get off at the Milo stop -> take the Metro Shuttle minibus (you just need a Metro ticket that, at the moment, is still valid for use) and get off at the Cittadella Universitaria Est stop in Via Santa Sofia -> the CUS, our venue, is few steps from the bus stop.

NOTICE: Metro is closed on Sundays

2) take a bus line direct to Via Etnea and get off at the Via Etnea (Bellini) stop -> take the BRT 1 line (1 €; ticket must be previously bought from a smoke shop (Tabaccheria), a newsstand or from the blue vending machines you can find around the city centre) direct to Due Obelischi and get off at the Via Santa Sofia stop -> the CUS, our venue, is few steps from the bus stop.

NOTICE: on Sundays you must take the BRT 1 line from Viale XX Settembre stop, that is 300 mt far from Bellini stop

3) take the 432 bus line (1 €) direct to Città Universitaria and get off at the Via Santa Sofia stop -> the CUS, our venue, is few steps from the bus stop.

NOTICE: the 432 line rides have reduced frequency (a ride every 90 min)

FROM CATANIA PORT:
leave the port and take the 536 bus line (1 €) direct to Canalicchio and get off at the Via Etnea (Bellini) stop -> follow instructions of point 2. above.

NOTICE: rides frequency for 536 line is of 30 min on weekdays and 60 min on holidays

Anyone registering declares to acknowledge the WCA regulations (Italian translation) and accepts them. Registration is limited to 100 competitors.

Registration will close on January 9th.

Registration process:

1. Register for the competition on the World Cube Association website;
2. Remember to check your email address: an email confirmation of your participation will be sent 2-3 weeks before the event;
3. Registration fee has to be paid at the venue.

Registration Fees:

First-timers: (competitors at their first competition): 8€
Returners (competitors that have already competed): 15€
UNICT students (students with a UNICT badge): 3€

Guest: free

The competition is officially recognized by the World Cube Association, therefore competitors are required to know the WCA regulations (Italian translation).
All the competitors must be available to help during the competition. This means that if required, they'll have to act as judges or scramblers.
During the competition competitors will be divided into groups.
