COVID-19

På grund av rådande omständigheter angående COVID-19 kommer en rad försiktighetsåtgärder att tas under tävlingen.
Antalet deltagare är begränsat till 25 personer, och varje deltagare får ha med maximalt en gäst (exempelvis förälder). Detta för att försäkra oss om att vi alltid blir färre än 50 personer i lokalen.

WCAs Competition Safety Policy agerar grund för vårat förebyggande arbete. Följande restriktioner kommer att gälla under tävlingen:

• Självklart stannar alla med sjukdomssymptom hemma.
• Avståndet mellan deltagare ska hållas till minst en meter. För att underlätta detta kommer vi ha färre tävlingsstationer än vad lokalen klarar av, och sprida ut oss så mycket vi kan.
• Handdesinfektion kommer finnas tillgängligt under hela tävlingen. Vi tvättar och spritar händerna ofta, samt desinficerar pussel före varje tävlingsomgång.
• Vi lånar inte pussel av varandra.
• Alla deltagare ska ha med egen penna. Ta gärna med flera, och låna inte av varandra.
• Du som tävlande har om du vill rätt att exempelvis ha med eget cube cover, och att desinficera tävlingsytan före dina försök.
• WCA rekommenderar att deltagare har på sig munskydd i tävlingslokalen.
• Vissa ändringar angående domare och runners kommer implementeras, för att minimera kontaktpunkter. Detta inkluderar:
  • Alla tävlingsomgångar kommer använda fasta platser, med en tävlingsstation per bord.
  • Domaren sitter vid kortsidan av bordet, minst en meter från den tävlande.
  • Endast den tävlande ska röra vid timern. Detta innebär att det är den tävlande som startar och nollställer timern före sitt försök, notera dock att det fortfarande är domarens ansvar att se till att detta blir gjort.
  • Efter försöket lossar den tävlande på timern, och vänder den mot domaren så att tiden kan antecknas.
  • Varken domare eller runners ska komma i kontakt med pusslen. Detta innebär att det är den tävlande som lägger pusslet i sitt cube cover efter försöket. Domaren bör inte röra pusslet om så inte krävs för att avgöra om det är löst (exempelvis för Clock).
  • Domaren räcker upp handen för att tillkalla runner, istället för att hålla upp cube cover.
  • Denna process demonstreras i den här videon (aktivera undertexter) .

Ni kan hålla koll på hur Sveriges fallstatistik utvecklar sig på den här sidan. Tidigare har WCA Board automatiskt ställt in tävlingar i länder med kraftigt ökande smittspridning, vi vill därför varna för att läget kan förändras med kort varsel, även om svenska restriktioner förblir oförändrade. I så fall kommer information skickas ut via e-post. Kom också ihåg att endast deltagaravgifterna kommer återbetalas om tävlingen behöver ställas in, ej personliga reseomkostnader.

COVID-19

Due to current circumstances regarding COVID-19, multiple precautions will be taken during the competition. The number of competitors is limited to 25 people, and each competitor may have at most one guest (e.g. parent). This is to make sure that we will be fewer than 50 people in the venue at all times.

WCA's Competition Safety Policy acts as the foundation for our preventative work. The following restrictions will be in effect:

• Everyone with signs of illness will of course stay at home.
• The distance between competitors should at all times be at least one meter. To facilitate this, we will have fewer solving stations than the venue could otherwise manage, and spread out as much as possible.
• Hand sanitizer will be available during the entire competition. We will wash and sanitize our hands often, aswell as disinfect puzzles before each round.
• We will not borrow puzzles from each other.
• All competitors must bring their own pen. Feel free to bring several, and don't borrow from each other.
• If you as a competitor wish, you have the right to for example bring your own cube cover, and to disinfect the competing surface before your attempts.
• The WCA recommends that you wear a face mask in the competition venue.
• Some changes regarding judges and runners will be implemented, to minimize contact points. This includes:
  • All rounds will be using fixed seating, with one competing station per table.
  • The judge will be seated at the short side of the table, at least 1 meter away from the competitor.
  • The competitor should be the only person touching the timer during a round. This means that the competitor will be the one starting and resetting the timer. It should be noted that it is still the judge’s responsibility that this is carried out.
  • After the attempt, the competitor removes the timer from the stackmat, and turns it so that the judge can read the time without approaching the competitor.
  • Neither judges nor runners should come in contact with the puzzles. This means that the competitor will be the one putting the cube into the cover after the attempt, and the judge should not touch the puzzle unless necessary to determine whether or not the puzzle is solved (eg. for Clock).
  • The judge should raise their hand to alert a runner, instead of raising the cube cover.
  • This process is demonstrated in this video (activate subtitles).

You can keep track of the Swedish case statistics on this page. Earlier, the WCA Board have automatically cancelled any competition in countries where cases got out of control, so we would therefore like to warn you that the situation may change quickly, even if Swedish restrictions remain unchanged. In that case, information will be sent out through e-mail. Also remember that only registration fees will be refunded in case that the competition must be cancelled, not personal travel expenses.

Tvillingtävling

Denna tävling är tillsammans med Flen - Lilla Manschetten 2021 de första tävlingarna som arrangeras i tvillingformat i Sverige! De två tävlingarna är att betrakta som helt separata tävlingar, vilket ger dubbelt så många deltagare chansen att tävla samma helg under rådande COVID-19 pandemin.

Det innebär att det endast är tillåtet att anmäla sig i samt tävla i en av de två separata tävlingarna som arrangeras i Flen denna helg. En anmälan till båda tävlingarna innebär att ingen av dem blir godkänd i väntan på svar på vilken av de två som deltagaren faktiskt vill tävla i, med risken att endera tävling fylls upp innan den processen är färdig.

Tänk också på att varje deltagare (och den eventuella enskilda gäst som varje deltagare har rätt till) endast får befinna sig i lokalen den dag som man har en godkänd anmälan till. Detta för att se till att vi aldrig blir fler än 50 personer i tävlingslokalen i varje given tidpunkt.

Twin Competitions

This competition is together with Flen - Lilla Manschetten 2021 the first competitions to be organized in a twin format in Sweden! The two competitions are to be viewed as two separate competitions, which gives twice as many people the chance to compete over the weekend during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means that it is only allowed to register for and compete in one of the two separate competitions organized in Flen this weekend. A registration for both competitions means that neither will be approved before we recieve a confirmation about which one the competitor actually want to compete in, with the risk of either competition filling up before that process is complete.

Please also remember that every competitor (and their single allowed guest) can only be present in the venue during the day on which the competitor has an approved registration for. This is to ensure that we will never exceed 50 persons in the venue at any given time.

To recieve the competition discount, you simply need to be registered as a SveKub member. After that, you register as normal and we will verify which competitors are members and which are not. You will pay the full price to begin with, but we will refund 25% when reviewing the registration (approving it or moving it to the waiting list). In the future, we hope to have a slightly more convenient system, but the current registration system can not handle different registration fees for different people.

Viktig info

Alla tävlande ska ha läst WCA regulations. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCAs reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Kolla gärna också denna video som visar hur tävlingsprocessen går till. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare. Notera dock att tävlingsprocessen ser något annorlunda ut den här gången, läs mer om det under fliken "COVID-19".

Du måste vara anmäld till tävlingen online för att få tävla! Du kan anmäla dig här.

Varje tävlande får ha med max en anhörig. Detta är för att säkerställa att vi inte blir fler än 50 personer i lokalen.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Du måste vara redo att tävla när din grupp startar Du behöver vara på plats i lokalen under de grenar där du planerar att delta. Du behöver dock vara på plats i lokalen senast 15 minuter innan din första gren ska börja, så du hinner fullfölja registreringen. Vi rekommenderar dock alltid att ni är på plats i lokalen minst 15 minuter innan er nästa gren, då schemat kan variera något jämfört med vad som först var planerat.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Important info

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. You can also check out this video which will show you the competition process. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know. Do note however, that the competing process looks a little different this time, read more about this under the "COVID-19" tab.

You must be registered for this competetition online in order to compete! You can register here.

Each competitor may bring at most one guest. This is to ensure that there are not more than 50 people in the venue.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registered for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 15 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Det är viktigt att du läser igenom alla flikar här på sidan, eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.

Om du aldrig tävlat förut bör du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort. Detta är en rekommenderad policy för att se till att er personliga information blir korrekt. Om du inte har ett ID-kort kan en förälder eller vårdnadshavare bekräfta informationen.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.

If you've never competed before, you should to bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's license. This is a recommended policy to make sure your personal information is correct. If you do not have an ID, a parent or guardian can confirm the information.

This video demonstrates how solving in a competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know. Do note however, that the competing process looks a little different this time, read more about this under the "COVID-19" tab. It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them. You are of course more than welcome to ask us questions during the competition!

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Resa

Adress till tävlingslokalen: Drottninggatan 24, 642 37 Flen (Aktivitetshuset Skjortan)

Bil: Lokalen är lättillgänglig med bil och det finns gott om gratis parkeringsplatser i närområdet. Om parkeringsplatserna direkt utanför lokalen tar slut finns fler vid Hammarvallens idrottsplats 100 meter ner längs Drottninggatan.

Tåg: Tävlingsschemat har anpassats till tågtidtabellen till Flen station, särskilt från Stockholm. Tävlingslokalen är 700 meter från stationen. Biljetter kan bokas via sj.se. Kom ihåg att medlemmar i SveKub reser med upp till 10% rabatt hos SJ, mer information finns på Sveroks hemsida.

Travel

Adress of the venue: Drottninggatan 24, 642 37 Flen (Aktivitetshuset Skjortan)

Car: The competition venue is easy to reach by car, with loads of free parking around the venue. If spots fill up directly outside the venue, then more can be found at Hammarvallen sports center, 100 metres further down the Drottninggatan street.

Train: The competition schedule has been adjusted to fit the train timetable to Flen station, mainly from Stockholm. The venue is 700 meters away from the station. Train tickets can be booked through sj.se. Remember that SveKub members travel at an up to 10% discount with SJ, more details can be found at the Sverok website.

Boende

Till skillnad från tidigare tävlingar i Flen kommer inget deltagarboende erbjudas, då tvillingformatet innebär att få deltagare behöver sova över i Flen över helgen. Om någon ändå skulle behöva ordna boende någon av nätterna rekommenderas Idrottsgårdens vandrarhem.

Mat

Likaså kommer ingen mat eller cafeteria erbjudas till deltagarna under denna tävling. I Flens centrum cirka 800-900 meter upp längs Drottninggatan finns dock både närmsta livsmedelsaffär (ICA) samt flertalet pizzerior och andra restauranger.

Accommodation

In contrast to earlier competitions in Flen, no competitor accommodation will be arranged this time around, since the twin format means that few should need to stay overnight in Flen during the weekend. If such a need occurs however, we recommend Idrottsgårdens hostel.

Mat

Likewise, no food or cafeteria will be organized to the competitors during the competition. However, in central Flen roughly 800-900 meters up the Drottninggatan street, the closest supermarket (ICA) as well as a couple of restaurants can be found.

Live-resultat

Vi kommer att använda WCA Live för live-resultat. En länk till den tävlingsspecifika sidan finns här: WCA Live. Sidan kommer uppdateras under dagarna före tävlingen, och detta är också den sida som du besöker för att se live-resultaten under tävlingens gång, samt se dina egna tider och om du gick vidare till nästa runda eller ej.

We are going to use the WCA-Live program for live results. A link to the competition specific page can be found here: WCA Live. The page will be updated during the days before the competition, and this is also the page which you should visit to see the live results during the competition, see your own times and whether you proceeded to the next round or not.
