Frozen Lake Constance 2023 ist die zweite Meisterschaft im Landkreis Konstanz und die erste dieses Jahr in Baden-Württemberg, organisiert von Mats Walker und Swisscubing, delegiert von Laura Holzhauer, Annika Stein, Oleg Gritsenko und Ioannis Papadopoulos.
Wir hoffen viele örtliche Cuber zu diesem Turnier zu locken und ihnen eine Chance zu geben, an einer Competition teilzunehmen.
Teilnehmer aus dem Ausland sind ebenfalls herzlichst willkommen.
Die Resultate von Frozen Lake Constance 2023 werden zu den offiziellen WCA World Rankings hinzugefügt.

Frozen Lake Constance 2023 is the second competition in the county Constance and the first this year in Baden-Württemberg, organised by Mats Walker and Swisscubing, delegated by Laura Holzhauer, Annika Stein, Oleg Gritsenko and Ioannis Papadopoulos.
With this competition we hope to attract a lot of new local cubers and give them a chance to compete.
We also warmly invite competitors who come from abroad.

Informationen für Erstteilnehmer

Falls dies deine erste Competition ist, an der du teilnimmst, ist es wichtig dass du dich mit den Regulations, also den offiziellen WCA-Regeln, bekannt machst. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir dir, dieses Video zum Ablauf einer Competition zu schauen: Competing Tutorial.
Wir werden an der Competition ein 'Judging Tutorial' abhalten, in welchem wir dir alle wichtigen Informationen nochmals praktisch aufzeigen.

Erstteilnehmer müssen ein Identifikationsdokument mitnehmen um Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum zu bestätigen. Akzeptiert werden ID, Pass, Geburtsurkunden, Führerausweis etc. Kurz, alles was Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum bezeugt.

Informationen für alle Teilnehmer

• Bitte hilf zu judgen! Deine Einteilung als Judge ist als absolutes Minimum zu erfüllen. Weil zweite und dritte Runden keine Einteilungen von Judges haben, brauchen wir viele Teilnehmer, die wann immer möglich helfen, zu judgen. Wirst du persönlich aufgefordert zu judgen, dann folge bitte diesen Anweisungen. Falls du nicht hilfst, kann dies zu deiner Disqualifikation führen (siehe Regulation 1e2). Auch Eltern dürfen bei dem Judgen aushelfen, es ist wirklich einfach!
• Bitte beachte dass Carbon-Fiber Puzzles nicht erlaubt sind und dass deine Würfel den Regulations entsprechen.
• Sprich NIEMALS über Scrambles oder Lösungen während die Runde im Gang ist. Siehe dazu Regulation 2g3.
• Laufen Blind-Events bitten wir dich, ruhig zu sein, da jedes Geräusch die Konzentration der Teilnehmer stören kann. Wir werden ankündigen, ab wann Ruhe nötig ist und wann man wieder sprechen darf.
• Fotografieren mit Blitz ist nicht erlaubt da es die Teilnehmer extrem stört.
• Wenn du zuschauen möchtest, beachte bitte den Mindestabstand von 1.5m den es laut Regulation 7b einzuhalten gilt. Wenn du einen Teilnehmer filmen möchtest, beachte bitte, dass du ausserhalb des Teilnehmerbereichs stehst.
• Bitte behandle die Venue mit Respekt. Entsorge deinen Müll fachgerecht oder nimm ihn nach Hause und halte deinen Platz sauber.
• An einer Competition gibt es immer tausende von Puzzles. Behalte deshalb deine Puzzles im Auge und lasse sie möglichst nicht herumliegen. Falls du doch ein Puzzle verlierst, kontaktiere uns via board@swisscubing.ch.
• Für unsere Social Media Kanäle und unsere Website werden wir Videos und Fotos aufnehmen. Als Teilnehmer oder Gast dieser Competition akzeptierst du, dass du für diese Zwecke gefilmt oder fotografiert werden könntest.

New Competitor Information

If you are a new competitor, it is important that you are familiar with the Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a video that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending: Competing Tutorial. We will also be holding an introduction to competing as per the Schedule which we recommend you attend as well.

New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the name, the country they wish to compete for, and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, then it will be fine.

Information for All Competitors

• Please help judge! As a competitor, your judging assignments are the absolute minimum you should be doing to help out. As second rounds, third rounds and finals have no assigned judges, we really need people to help out whenever available for these. If you are directly asked to judge, please go and judge for the remainder of the round in progress. If you do not comply then we are within our rights to disqualify you from the competition as per Regulation 1e2. If you're a parent you can also get involved with running and juging, it's really easy!
• Please note that Carbon-Fiber puzzles are not permitted, and please make sure your cube complies with Regulations.
• When you are competing and have handed in your puzzle, please make sure to be waiting in the designated area so that judges and runners do not have to come searching for you.
• Please DO NOT talk about the scrambles or your solutions whilst the round is in progress as per Regulation 2g3.
• During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.
• No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.
• If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b. If you are filming someone competing, please stay out of the competitor area.
• Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins, black bin bags, or take it home with you and keep your area tidy.
• There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them! Keeping them in a bag and looking after it at all times is recommended. If you do lose a puzzle, please contact us here: board@swisscubing.ch.
• We will be taking videos and photographs of the competition and the environment for our social media pages and website. By attending the competition as a competitor or a guest, you are accepting that you may be filmed or photographed for these purposes.

[D] Bus: Vom Bahnhof Konstanz nimmst du den Bus Nr. 12 Richtung "Schwaketen". Du musst bei der Haltestelle "Gutenbergweg" aussteigen. Von dort rechts dem "Schleyerweg" folgen, bis es links eine Treppe hinaufgeht. Wenn du die Treppe hochgelaufen bist, siehst du das gelbe Schulhaus. Dann musst du dem Weg folgen, um zum Haupteingang zu gelangen. Dort wird das Swisscubing-Banner stehen.
Auto: Es gibt gratis Parkplätze vor der Schule

[E] Bus: From Constance train station, take bus no. 12 with direction 'Schwaketen'. You have to get off at bus stop 'Gutenbergweg'. From there, turn right into 'Schleyerweg'. Go straight until a set of stairs shows up on the left. When you go up the stairs you will see the yellow school house. Then you have to follow the track to get to the main entrance. There you will find the Swisscubing banner.
Car: There is free parking at the venue

Es empfiehlt sich, in der Nähe des Bahnhofs zu übernachten, da es dort mehr Unterkünfte gibt. Außerdem kommt man von dort leicht zur Venue.
Mögliche Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten finden sich auf Booking.com, Airbnb oder ähnlichen Seiten.
Konstanz hat außerdem eine Jugendherberge, welche hier gefunden werden kann.

Aus Zeitgründen haben wir uns dazu entschieden, eine seperate FMC Registration am Samstag um 8:00 Uhr durchzuführen. Bitte komme zu dieser Registration nur, wenn du bei FMC teilnehmen möchtest. Falls du nicht teilnimmst, komme bitte nicht zur FMC Registration, sondern zur normalen Registration ab 8:15 Uhr.

For time reasons, we decided to run a seperate FMC registration at saturday 8:00 a.m. If you compete in FMC, please register at this one. If not, please do not come to the FMC registration, but later to the standard registration at 8:15 a.m.

Auf dieser Comp wird am Samstagabend ein inoffizielles Event stattfinden: Team Blind.
Die Regeln für dieses sind:
1. Es treten immer Zweierteams an
2. Einer der Zwei darf den Cube sehen, aber nicht berühren (außer während der Inspection)
3. Der Andere darf den Cube berühren, aber nicht sehen
4. Das Format wird ao5 sein
5. Nach zwei Solves müssen die Rollen gewechselt werden

Ansonsten müssen die WCA Regeln befolgt werden. Das Zeitlimit ist 5 Minuten pro Solve. Da wir nur Kapazität für 30 Teams haben, werden wir, falls sich mehr Teams anmelden, nur die 30 Teams mit den niedrigsten addierten Zeiten zulassen. Dieser Wert ergibt sich aus den addierten offiziellen 3x3 Bestzeiten der beiden Teammitglieder.
Teams können sich hier anmelden.

At the comp there will be an unofficial event: Team Blind.
The rules are:
1. There are lining up teams of two
2. One of the two will be allowed to see the cube, but not to touch the cube (exept for inspection)
3. The other person will be allowed to touch the cube, but not to see it
4. The format of the round will be ao5
5. After two solves, the roles have to be swapped

Besides of this you have to follow the WCA Rules. The timelimit will be 5 minutes per solve. Since we only have capacity for 30 teams, if more teams register, we will only allow the 30 teams with the lowest total times. This value results from the added official 3x3 best times of the two team members.

Es gelten die folgenden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und Regeln:

Masken/3G freiwillig: Es gilt keine allgemeine Masken- oder Testpflicht. Natürlich ist das freiwillige Tragen einer Maske erlaubt und wir freuen uns, wenn ihr euch eigenverantwortlich vor dem Wettbewerb auf Corona testet.
Symptome: Personen, die am Tag des Wettbewerbs Covid-Symptome wie Fieber, Husten oder Abgeschlagenheit zeigen und in der Woche vor dem Wettbewerb mit einem Covid-19-Erkrankten Kontakt hatten, dürfen die Venue nicht betreten und nicht am Wettbewerb teilnehmen.
Achtung: Die oben genannten Regeln dienen der Durchführung einer sicheren Veranstaltung für alle Teilnehmer. Nichtbeachten der Regeln und mutwilliges oder wiederholtes Zuwiderhandeln führen zur Disqualifikation und Ausschluss von der Veranstaltung.
Die obigen Regeln erfüllen die aktuell gültige Corona-Schutzverordnung in Baden-Würtemberg in vollem Umfang. Bitte beachte, dass wir keinen Einfluss auf gesetzliche Regelungen haben. Sollte es kurzfristig zu Änderungen kommen wegen denen wir unsere COVID-Sicherheits-Richtlinien verschärfen, oder den Wettbewerb sogar komplett absagen müssen, werden alle Teilnehmer per E-Mail benachrichtigt.

Falls du aus einem anderen Land als Deutschland anreisen möchtest, beachte bitte die derzeitigen Einreiseregelungen für Deutschland.

The following safety rules and precautions apply:

Masks/Testing on a voluntary basis: There is no requirement to wear a mask at the competition or conduct a Covid test prior to the competition. Of course masks can be worn on a voluntary basis and testing prior to the competition is encouraged.
Symptoms: Persons that show Covid symptoms such as fever, coughing or fatigue and were in contact with a Covid-19 patient in the week prior to the competition are not allowed to enter the venue and/or compete.
Attention: The rules stated above serve to ensure the safe execution of the competition for all competitors. Ignoring and willful or repeated violating of these rules will result in disqualification and exclusion from the competition.
The rules above are in compliance with the laws in force (see the Covid-19 Safety Policy in Baden-Würtemberg). Please note that we do not have any influence on the regulations set by the laws. In case these laws change and we have to alter our COVID Safety Rules or even cancel the competition entirely, all competitors will be notified via email.
