The easiest way to grab food is the "Elbe Einkaufszentrum" shopping center 500 meters north of venue. It has a food court with a wide variety of options to choose from.
On Sunday, only a limited part of the shopping center is open. We have scheduled 60 minutes for the lunch break, so you should have plenty of time to find something nearby.

Die einfachste Möglichkeit ist das Elbe-Einkaufszentrum 500 Meter nördlich der Venue. Dort gibt es einen Food Court mit einer großen Menge an Auswahlmöglichkeiten.
Am Sonntag hat nur ein Teil dieser Läden geöffnet, jedoch haben wir die Mittagspause mit 60 Minuten so geplant dass jeder genug Zeit haben sollte etwas in der Umgebung zu finden.

We recommend to commute to the venue by public transport.
From the city center take the local train line S1 direction "Blankenese" or "Wedel" and get off at "Klein Flottbek". From there, it's a 10 minute walk to the school.

If you decide to arrive by car, there is a parking on the school territory, as well as another one 150 meters West of the venue. Both are free of charge!

The entrance to the competition is at the southern side of the school area.

Wir empfehlen, mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zur Venue anzureisen.
Mit der S-Bahn Linie S1 geht es vom Stadtzentrum in Richtung "Blankenese" oder "Wedel" bis zur Haltestelle "Klein Flottbek". Von dort aus erreicht man die Venue zu Fuß in etwa 10 MInuten.

Für alle, die mit dem Auto anreisen gibt es Parkplätze direkt auf dem Schulgelände sowie 150 westlich der Venue. Beide sind für Teilnehmer des Wettbewerbs gratis!

Der Zugang zum Wettbewerb erfolgt über die Südseite des Schulgeländes.

Hamburg has an excellent public transport network, and you can basically reach the venue from anywhere in the city center in less than 45 minutes.
There are no hotels in direct vicinity of the venue, but if you look further east you will find a lot of hotels in the districts of "Othmarschen" and "Altona".

Hamburg hat grundsätzlich ein extrem gut angebundenes Nahverkehrsnetz, und man erreicht die Venue vom Innenstadbereich aus problemlos in unter 45 Minuten.
Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es nicht, weiter östlich finden sich in den Stadtteilen Othmarschen und Altona jedoch eine Menge Hotels.

All competitors must have read the WCA Regulations and the competitor tutorial!
We will have a live demonstration explaining how to compete and judge before the first event. Please have a look at the schedule to tab find out when this will happen.
This tutorial will be performed by some of our most experienced competitiors and thus offers you the chance to get in touch with the equipment and the procedures crucial to WCA competitions.

New competitors must bring a valid identification card, to confirm their identity at the competition. A passport is a good example since it shows your photo, your date of birth and your citizenship.

You are expected to help during the competition. For each event you participate in, you will then need to judge at least one other group in the same event. If you see a lack of judges or we call your name, please step in and help! This helps the competition run a lot smoother!

Every time there is any blindfolded or Fewest Moves event, there has to be complete silence! It requires a lot of concentration, so please be silent. If you need to talk or make noise, please leave the venue room where people are solving to do so.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Only pictures without the use of flash are allowed.
You are also allowed to film your official attempts, as long as the camera's screen is out of sight.

All spectators must remain at least 1,5 meters away from every solving station.

When a round is in progress, then all competitors in the current group must wait in the competitor waiting area, until they get called up to solve.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done! Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

You only need to be present, when you have to compete, in the events that you're registered for. We recommend that you are present half an hour up to one hour before your first event, since the schedule might change. If you can only be present one of the days, then you can only compete in the events on the given date.

Use an e-mail address that you regularly check!
When we approach the competition date, you will receive an email. It will contain some changes that might have happened. It will also contain more ‘up to date’ information, which you might need.

Alle Teilnehmer müssen mit den WCA Regulations und dem Competitor Tutorial vertraut sein.
An beiden Tagen werden wir vor Ort jeweils auch eine Anleitung zum Teilnehmen und Judgen anbieten. Bitte schaut hierfür in den Zeitplan.
Diese Einführungsveranstaltung wird von einigen sehr erfahrenen Teilnehmern abgehalten, es lohnt sich also zu kommen damit ihr euch mit der Ausrüstung und den Abläufen von WCA-Wettbewerben genau vertraut machen könnt.

Erstteilnehmer bringen bitte einen Ausweis mit in dem Identität, Nationalität und Geburtstag ersichtlich sind!

Das Helfen und Judgen während der Competition ist verpflichtend. Im besten Fall hilfst du in den Events, in denen du teilnimmst, jeweils in der anderen Gruppe aus. Das hilft den Zeitplan einzuhalten und den Wettbewerb am Laufen zu behalten.

Während aller "Blindfolded" und "Fewest Moves" Events muss absolute Ruhe im Raum herrschen, da viel Konzentration benötigt wird. Wer sich unterhalten will, verlässt für die Zeit des Events den Raum.

Bitte keine Fotos mit Blitz machen, weil dies die Teilnehmer ablenkt. Fotos ohne Blitz sind erlaubt.
Du darfst deine Versuche filmen, allerdings muss der Kamerabildschirm außer Sicht sein.

Alle Zuschauer halten mindestens 1,5 Meter Abstand zu den Stationen.

Wenn eine Runde läuft, warten alle Teilnehmer der Gruppe in dem Wartebereich, bis sie zum Versuch von einem Judge aufgerufen werden.

Wer während einer Runde über die Scrambles spricht, kann disqualifiziert werden!

Du musst nur zu den Events da sein, für die du dich angemeldet hast. Wir empfehlen, mindestens eine halbe Stunde vor deinem ersten Event da zu sein. Wenn du nur an einem Tag kannst, kannst du auch nur an den entsprechenden Events des Tages teilnehmen.

Bitte verwende bei der Anmeldung eine Mailadresse, die du regelmäßig liest!
Mit dem Näherrücken des Wettbewerbes wirst du mehrere Emails erhalten, in denen z.B. Gruppen- und Scramblerlisten enhalten sind.
