Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Alla är varmt välkomna att tävla, men kom ihåg att denna tävling endast håller sido- och blindgrenar. Se till att läsa igenom alla flikar ovan eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.

Om du aldrig tävlat förut bör du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort, för att intyga när du är född och din nationalitet. Om den tävlande inte har ett ID kan en förälder bekräfta dessa uppgifter.

Utifrån dagens planering kommer vi inte att ha en schemalagd deltagarintroduktion på denna tävling. Om du har några frågor är du välkommen att prata med arrangören eller delegaterna under incheckningsprocessen.

Vi rekommenderar starkt att du kollar på den här videon så du bättre förstår hur det går till att lösa i tävling. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Det är också viktigt att du läser igenom WCA-reglerna så du får en bättre förståelse för vilka olika tidsstraff du kan få på lösningarna, och hur du undviker dem.

Under hela tävlingen kommer du kunna se live-resultat från WCA Live, där kan du se vilka resultat du fick, och ifall du gick vidare till nästa runda.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! Everyone is warmly welcome to compete, but remember that this competition only holds side and blind events. Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.

If you've never competed before, you should bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's licence, to verify your birth date and nationality. If the competitor does not have an ID, a parent can confirm this information.

As of today's planning, we will not have a scheduled competitor tutorial at this competition. If you have any questions, you are welcome to talk to the organizer or Delegates during the check-in process.

We highly recommend watching this video to get a good understanding of how solving in competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA Live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Viktig info

Alla tävande ska ha läst WCA:s Regler. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCA:s reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Reglerna finns även översatta till svenska, men tänk på att det är den engleska originalversionen som gäller om det skulle finnas några skillnader. Vill man redan nu få bättre koll på hur tävlingsproceduren går till, kolla då gärna denna video som visar detta på ett bra sätt. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Du måste vara anmäld till tävlingen online för att få tävla! Du kan anmäla dig här.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Important info

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide. is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete! You can register here.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Resa

Med bil

Adressen är Franzéngatan 5, cirka 15 minuter nordväst om centrala Stockholm och 45 minuter söder om Stockholm Arlanda flygplats. Det finns ett parkeringsgarage på Strandbergsgatan ca 300 m från lokalen.

Med flyg

De flesta kommer antagligen landa på Stockholm Arlanda flygplats, även om det finns många fler flygplatser i Storstockholm och Mälardalen. Det finns många sätt att ta sig från Arlanda till centrala Stockholm:

• Det billigaste alternativet för att ta sig från Arlanda till Stockholm Central är med SL buss 583 till Märsta station, och därifrån SL pendeltåg till Stockholm Central. Resan tar ca 60 minuter, kostar 39kr per vuxen, se SL. Om du vill kan du resa hela vägen mellan Arlanda och Hive Streaming med SL på cirka 80 minuter.
• Flygbussarna kör direkta bussar mellan Arlanda och Stockholm Cityterminalen. Resan tar cirka 45 minuter, kostar 119kr per vuxen (189 för tur och retur), se Flygbussarna.
• Mängder av pendeltåg (SL), regionaltåg (SJ / Mälartåg) och fjärrtåg (SJ) kör mellan Arlanda Central och Stockholm Central. Restid varierar mellan 18-38 minuter. Tänk dock på att du behöver betala 120kr i passageavgift om du vill kliva av eller på ett tåg på Arlanda Central (gäller alla 18 år eller äldre). Se exempelvis SJ.
• Det dyraste alternativet är snabbtåget Arlanda Express. Restiden är endast 18-20 minuter med avgångar var 15:e minut, men kostar 299kr per vuxen (579kr tur och retur). Se Arlanda Express.

Med tåg eller buss

Om du reser till lokalen från någonstans utanför Stockholms län kommer ett fjärrtåg förmodligen att vara bästa alternativet. Du kan söka efter, och köpa biljetter till "Stockholms Centralstation" (4 kilometers promenad eller en kort buss- eller tunnelbaneresa från lokalen) på sj.se. Kom ihåg att medlemmar i SveKub reser med upp till 10% rabatt hos SJ, mer information finns på Sveroks hemsida.

Det kan också vara värt att kolla flixbus.se och bus4you.se för billiga bussbiljetter till "Stockholm Cityterminalen".

Med lokaltrafik (SL)

Från Stockholms centralstation kliver du på valfritt tunnelbanetåg på blåa linjen mot Akalla eller Hjulsta och stiger av vid Stadshagen. Därifrån är du bara 200 meters promenad från lokalen. Om du reser från någon annanstans inom Stockholms län, använd "Franzéngatan 5" som destination på SL.se. Biljetten köper du enklast via SL:s app eller genom att blippa på ditt kreditkort (contactless) i spärren/biljettautomaten.

Travel

By car

The address is Franzéngatan 5, about 15 minutes north west of central Stockholm and 45 minutes south of Stockholm Arlanda airport. There is a parking garage on Strandbergsgatan about 300 m from the venue.

By plane

Most will probably land at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, although there are many more airports in greater Stockholm and Mälardalen. There are many ways to get from Arlanda to central Stockholm:

• The cheapest alternative to get from Arlanda to Stockholm Central is by SL (Stockholm Local Transport) bus 583 to Märsta station, and from there SL commuter train to Stockholm Central. The journey takes about 60 minutes, costs SEK 39 per adult, see SL. If you want, you can travel all the way between Arlanda and Hive Streaming with SL in about 80 minutes.
• The Flygbussarna airport buses run direct buses between Arlanda and Stockholm City Terminal. The journey takes about 45 minutes, costs SEK 119 per adult (189 for round trip), see Flygbussarna.
• Lots of commuter trains (SL), regional trains (SJ / Mälartåg) and long-distance trains (SJ) run between Arlanda Central and Stockholm Central. Travel time varies between 18-38 minutes. However, keep in mind that you need to pay 120 SEK in a passage fee if you want to get on or off a train at Arlanda Central (applies to everyone 18 years or older). See for example SJ.
• The most expensive option is the Arlanda Express train. Travel time is only 18-20 minutes with departures every 15 minutes, but costs SEK 299 per adult (SEK 579 round trip). See Arlanda Express.

By train or bus

If you head for the venue from anywhere outside Stockholm county, a long distance train will likely be your best bet. You can search for, and buy tickets to "Stockholms Centralstation" (4 kilometers walking or a short bus or subway ride from the venue) on sj.se. Remember that members of SveKub travel with up to 10% discount at SJ, more information is available on Sverok's website.

It may also be worth checking out flixbus.se and bus4you.se for cheap bus tickets to "Stockholm Cityterminalen".

By local transport (SL)

From Stockholm Central station, you get on any blue line subway train heading for Akalla or Hjulsta, and get of at "Stadshagen". From there, you are only 200 meters walking distance away from the venue. If travelling from anywhere else inside Stockholm county, just use "Franzéngatan 5" as your destination at SL.se. The easiest way to buy the ticket is via SL's app or by tapping your credit card (contactless) in the gate / ticket machine.

Boende

Om du kan hitta ett rum på antingen "Hotel Fridhem" eller "Connect Hotel City", så skulle dessa vara dina närmaste alternativ, vilka ligger 2,2 respektive 2,4 kilometer bort. Annars finns många alternativ tillgängliga om du söker med Google Maps i närheten av lokalen. Det kommer inte att finnas möjlighet till golvförläggning i lokalen under denna tävling.

Accommodation

If you can find a room at either "Hotel Fridhem" or "Connect Hotel City", then these would be your closest options located 2.2 and 2.4 kilometers away respectively. Otherwise, many options are available if you search using Google Maps in the vicinity of the locale. There will be no floor accomodation at the venue during this competition.

Mat

Livsmedelsbutiker

Det finns en ICA Maxi Stormarknad i Lindhagen, cirka 500 meter från lokalen. Lokalen har flera mikrovågsugnar ifall du vill värma medhavd mat.

Restauranger

Det finns även några restauranger runt ICA Supermarket i Lindhagen (500 m), samt flera restauranger (pizzerior med mera) och Texas Longhorn Hamburgare längs Hornbergs Strand nordväst om lokalen.

Food

Grocery stores

There is an ICA Maxi Supermarket in nearby Lindhagen, about 500 m from the venue. The venue has plenty of microwave ovens if you want to warm up a lunchbox.

Restaurants

There are a few restaurants available near the ICA Supermarket in Lindhagen (500 m), and many others (pizzerias, Texas Longhorn) along the Hornbergs Strand road to the north west of the venue.
