Time Limit: If you take longer than this on a single solve you will be stopped, and given a DNF result for that attempt.
Cut Off: You must achieve a single time under this time in one of your first two solves to complete the average of 5. If the format is mean of 3, then the cutoff applies after 1 solve.
Total Time: For 3×3 Blindfolded you will have 10 minutes of “attempt time” in total for your 3 attempts. So if you take 4 minutes to DNF or solve successfully, you will have 6 minutes remaining for your next two solves. If you exceed the 10 minute mark whilst solving, you will be stopped, and given a DNF result for that attempt. The same applies for 4×4 and 5×5 Blindfolded, but you will have 45 minutes of “attempt time” combined.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
