NEWCOMERS:

There are multiple things a first-timer must know before competing. All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. There is a video here for the basic overview of the rules.

ALL COMPETITORS:

All competitors are expected to help out at this competition. In addition to your competing groups, all competitors will receive groups in which they are expected to either judge, scramble, or run. All assignments will be organized by group, meaning that when we call a particular group of an event up to compete, if you are scheduled to judge/scramble/run during that group, you will come up and start performing your assigned task. If you do not show up for your assignments, your times may be subject to disqualification.

Please note that filling out this form does not mean you are registered for the competition. Anybody who does not register and pay for the competition will not be able to compete.

Staff will be limited to approximately 10 people.

Please understand that entering live results takes up competition resources that could go to the actual running of the event. We will do our best to get results entered as fast as possible, however there may be delays. All results will be entered prior to later rounds.

VENUE DIRECTIONS BY CAR
From the east or west, take the Southern State Parkway to exit 35 (Wellwood Avenue), south toward Lindenhurst. OLPH is aproximately 2.5 miles from the exit, on the east side of Wellwood Avenue.
(Note: The entrance to the Auditorium is on the High Street side of the building. High Street is a one-way south direction street).

VENUE DIRECTIONS BY TRAIN
The venue is easily accessable by the Long Island Railroad, Babylon Line. Get off at the Lindenhurst stop. OLPH is about 3 block walk from the train station

LUNCH OPTIONS
Lunch will not be provided. There are many food options (pizza, chinese food, thai food, deli, 7-11) on Wellwood Avenue within very short walking distance from OLPH.

PARKING
There is ample street parking on the blocks east of OLPH. There is also metered parking on Wellwood Avenue.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
