Welcome to Manila's Blindsided 2024! This competition features the events 3x3, 3x3 Blindfolded, 4x4 Blindfolded, 5x5 Blindfolded, Clock, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, and Square-1, with Square-1 as the main event.
For ALL Blindfolded Solvers, ALL BLD events will start at 9:00 AM and end at 11:30 AM. Please refer to the Blindfolded Events Tab for more information.

This competition is hosted by Cubers and Friends, a private organization of Filipino Cubers dedicated to crafting competitive experiences.

There is a competitor limit of 40 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ₱450 (Philippine Peso).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of ₱500 (Philippine Peso).
The registration fee for this competition will be ₱450.00 inclusive of 5 events of your choice. Additional Php 50 will be added on top of the base registration for each event you want to add.
Walk-in registration fees will be ₱500.00 inclusive of 5 events of your choice. Additional Php 50 will be added on top of the base registration for each event you want to add.
Events can be edited after registering. Additional fees will be collected on-site in case the competitor adds an event during the day of the competition. The registration fee is non-refundable, including when deleting an event.

FOR FOREIGN COMPETITORS
Registration payments may be paid by competitors travelling from other countries through cash until the day of the competition with an advance notice with proof of travel at least two weeks before the competition in order to fully secure the registration slot. Please contact the Cubers and Friends Organizing Team regarding the payment and registration, or if you wish to pay through another preferred method of payment.
Please indicate the name of competitor, and events registered or number of events registered in the message tab in the GCash app before sending payment, and send the receipt of payment to the Cubers and Friends Organizing Team through e-mail at cubersandfriends.org@gmail.com. Failing to confirm your registration payments through e-mail will render your registration null, void, and non-refundable.
However, registration payments paid within a grace period of 48 HOURS after registration slots are filled may be refunded, else the NO-REFUND policy applies henceforth.
FIRST TIME COMPETITORS
All newcomers are required to read the WCA First-time Competitor Guide document to familiarize yourself of the WCA regulations used to govern WCA-sanctioned competitions. Additionally, please watch this competitor tutorial by WCA Senior Delegate Kit Clement of the USA.
ALL COMPETITORS
Please make sure to bring your Vaccination Card in case that the venue requires you to present it.
When you arrive at the competition venue, kindly follow the following steps:
1. Head to the registration table and sign on the competitor masterlist.
2. Get your Certificate of Participation, Event Schedule and grouping/officiating Team Assignment. You will be assigned to officiate at some point during the competition so be sure to take note of your assignement to avoid being disqualified. As per WCA Regulation 1e2, all competitors must be ready to officiate when called or assigned to. Declining such assignment merits disqualification at the discretion of the WCA Delegate.
3. Go inside the venue hall and wait for the competition to start.
IMPORTANT: All competitors for Blindfolded (BLD) events will start their solves at 9:00 AM, and end at 11:30 AM with a 2 Hour & 30 Minute total time limit for ALL BLD events. The order priority for BLD events will be as follows:
1. 5BLD
2. 4BLD
3. 3BLD
Example:
• A competitor registers only for 3BLD. They will be starting 3BLD at 9 AM.
• A competitor registers only for 4BLD. They will be starting 4BLD at 9 AM.
• A competitor registers only for 3BLD and 4BLD. They will be starting 4BLD at 9 AM, then 3BLD after.
• A competitor registers only for 3BLD and 5BLD. They will be starting 5BLD at 9 AM, then 3BLD after.
• A competitor registers only for ALL BLD events. They will be starting 5BLD at 9 AM, followed by 4BLD, and then 3BLD.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is there an age limit to compete?
A: None! Everyone is welcome to compete regardless of age.
Q: Should I bring my own timer?
A: No need to! Just bring your cube and yourself, as competitors are expected to use their own puzzles in competition.
Q: What is the time limit?
A: The time limit for most speedsolving events is at most ten (10) minutes, and at least two minutes and thirty seconds (2:30.00) for faster events. You may refer to the events tab regarding specific cutoff times and time limits for all events.
Q: When does registration end?
A: Registration ends on August 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM GMT+8, or when the thirty-five (35) competitor limit is reached. Waitlisted competitors may be admitted until September 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM GMT+8.
Q: Do you accept walk-in registrations?
A: Walk-in registrations are accepted with an increased base registration fee of PHP 500 good for 5 events. You may also add events until competition day.
Q: Do you accept refunds?
A: Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstance, including when removing or deleting event from registration. However, registration payments paid within a grace period of 48 HOURS after registration slots are filled may be refunded, else the NO-REFUND policy applies henceforth.
1) From España Blvd., turn right to Padre Paredes St.
2) Head straight until you see the building to your left.
2.1) For competitors without their own vehicles, you may enter the main gate directly, ask the guard for the Multipurpose Hall and they will direct you accordingly.
2.2) For competitors with vehicles, proceed to the gate to the right.
On Lunch Period
Please note that there is only 2 fast-food restaurants, KFC and Mcdonalds, that are walking distance (200 meters away) from the venue. There are no other restaurant establishments near the venue. Please consider bringing your own lunch, or ordering from food delivery platforms such as GrabFood or FoodPanda for best convenience during lunch.
Parking is a first come, first serve basis.
There is limited parking space inside the venue, the rates of the parking area is 40.00 PHP for the first 3 hours, and 10.00 PHP for every hour afterwards to be paid to the guard on duty.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
