Saturday 8th
Sunday 9th
Sala Magna Isabella D'Este
Via Giulio Romano 13, Mantova
Italy
By train
Mantova can be easily reached directly from Verona (45 minutes travel time, every half hour or so), Milan (2 hours travel time, every 2 hours) and even Rome (3 hours and half, twice a day).
Visit the italian railway website for timetables and purchase: trenitalia.com.
By car
Mantova is on the A22 highway, the venue is easily reachable by car but parking can be tricky. 1 km far is the closest free parking lot. This problem regards only Saturday, on Sunday all the parking places that cost a fee are free (blue striped parking spots).
Registration fee is currently 15€. This is a worst case scenario entry fee.
Depending by number of competitors and talks with the city of Mantova for a discounted price for the venue, we are working to push this entry fee down.
Please come back to the competition WCA page in future weeks for updates on this matter.
We are currently thinking of taking up to 75 registered competitors to the competition.
The competition is officially recognized by the World Cube Association, therefore competitors are required to know the WCA regulations.
All the competitors must be available to help during the competition. This means that if required, they'll have to act as judges or scramblers.
During the competition competitors will be divided into groups.
We have available:

One important rule: nobody can win the same prize twice. If you already won let's say an Aofu 7x7, you can't bring home another one. Podium win or Lucky Draw win, doesn't matter. Amazon Gift Cards, same rule, irrelevant if the value of the card is different. One type of prize for each competitor. If John Doe wins the same puzzle twice in in the podium (i.e. 3x3 first prize and 4x4 first prize) the second puzzle will be added to the lucky draw.
You can't be extracted twice in the lucky draw. If your name came up already and you won something already, we will go fishing again.
This is to allow a prize distribution as spread as possible.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
