Mississauga 3x3x3 Newcomers Series

One day, two competitions! We are running this one-day competition series as part of WCA Newcomer Month. 40% of spots will be reserved for newcomers (see WCA Newcomer Month 2025 near the bottom of this page for more information).

You can choose between Mississauga 3x3x3 Newcomers A and Mississauga 3x3x3 Newcomers B! These competitions are identical except for the time of day they take place (morning or afternoon).

You will only be able to compete in one of these two competitions. Attempting to register for more than one of these competitions will result in only one of your registrations being accepted.

This is a great opportunity for newcomers to compete in 3x3x3 Cube – the maximum-allowed top-75% of competitors will advance to the second round! Plus, as part of WCA Newcomer Month we will have special prizes and initiatives for first-time competitors.

Registration Reminders

You must register and pay the registration fee before your registration can be accepted. Unpaid registrations will not be accepted. Please see the Competitor List and Waiting List sections near the bottom of this page for more details.

Group assignments are available at https://www.competitiongroups.com/competitions/MississaugaNewcomersA2025.

These "groups" are when you are assigned to compete, judge and/or scramble during an event you are registered for.

Per Regulations 1e2 and 1f2, all competitors must be available to help judge and scramble. If you're unsure how to judge, please review the WCA Regulations, watch this video, or ask one of the WCA Delegates at the competition.

Please plan to arrive to each of your groups five minutes before it is scheduled to begin. Showing up excessively late to your group may result in not being allowed to compete in that event.

What is a competition series?

When two or more competitions are in a "series", it means that you can compete in one of the competitions in that series. This allows more competitors the opprotunity to compete at WCA competitions in the Greater Toronto Area.

For this series, you can compete in Mississauga 3x3x3 Newcomers A 2024 or Mississauga 3x3x3 Newcomers B 2024, but not both.

What should I expect at my first competition?

Please watch these short videos:

When does the competition start? When should I arrive at the venue?

The check-in desk opens at 8:30 AM, opening announcements are at 8:55 AM, and the first round starts at 9:10 AM. Please see the schedule for full details.

How do I cancel my registration?

Please send us an email using the email address you used to register for the competition to request cancellation. Please note our cancellation policy on the registration page.
