The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.

There are no nearby options for purchasing food so a lunch will be provided to all competitors. There wil be 3 choices to choose from:
A. Hot Dog, 2 cookies, piece of fruit (apple, orange, or banana), drink (water, juice or pop)3
B. Taco in a Bag, 2 cookies, piece of fruit (apple, orange, or banana), drink (water, juice or pop)
C. Sandwich, 2 cookies, piece of fruit (apple, orange, or banana), drink (water, juice or pop)
An email will be sent for you to reply to with your choice in advance so we can order the correct amount of each.

Your guests are also welcome to purchase their lunch as well. There will also be a concession which will remain open all day providing drinks and snacks available for purchase.
An email will be sent closer to the day of the competition for guests to preorder lunch if they are interested in the cafeteria lunch.

Please note: the cafeteria and concession will only be accepting cash.

4 Food trucks will also be available all day providing additional lunch/snack options (including bannock burgers, fries, latin foods etc.). They will be accepting both cash and debit/credit.

Driving Directions to Mother Earth School

From Edmonton (North side), St Albert, and Sherwood Park

  1. Head west out of Edmonton on Hwy 16 the Yellowhead Trail or Hwy 16A - Stony Plain Drive.
  2. Continue west past the cities of Spruce Grove and Stony Plain.
  3. Turn south on to Hwy 770 just after the Hwy 43 N turn-off.
  4. Continue south past the Hwy 627 intersection.
  5. Continue south over the North Saskatchewan River Bridge.
  6. Take the first right at Range Road 30 at the top of the hill you should see the MECCS (Mother Earth’s Children’s Charter School) sign off to the right).
  7. There will be 3 choices when you turn. Stay to the immediate right and follow the gravel road approximately 1 km.
  8. Turn right at the MECCS sign (this will be your second right - the first access road only leads into the bush area).
  9. There is an electronic gate to the property - it will be open.
  10. Continue down the driveway to the school. Observe speed limit as there is limited visibility on corners. *Note: If you reach the Genesee Power Plant, you have traveled too far south on Hwy 770 .

From Edmonton (South side)

  1. Take Whitemud Freeway past Anthony Henday Drive to Highway 60 S - turn left.
  2. Go past Enoch to Highway 627 intersection. Turn right (West)
  3. Follow Hwy 627 to the Highway 770 Intersection. Turn left (South)
  4. Continue south over the North Saskatchewan River Bridge.
  5. Take the first right at Range Road 30 at the top of the hill you should see the MECCS (Mother Earth’s Children’s Charter School) sign off to the right).
  6. There will be 3 choices when you turn. Stay to the immediate right and follow the gravel road approximately 1 km.
  7. Turn right at the MECCS sign (this will be your second right- the first access road only leads into the bush area).
  8. There is an electronic gate to the property - it will be open.
  9. Continue down the driveway to the school. Observe speed limit as there is limited visibility on corners. *Note: If you reach the Genesee Power Plant, you have traveled too far south on Hwy 770 .

From Calgary, Red Deer, and Leduc

  1. Head north out of Calgary on Hwy 2.
  2. Continue north past Red Deer on Hwy 2
  3. Turn west onto Hwy 39 at Leduc.
  4. Continue west through Calmar.
  5. Turn north onto Hwy 770 at Warburg.
  6. Travel north on Hwy 770 past the Genesee Power Plant.
  7. Turn left onto Range Road 30 (just following the large curve in the highway). You should see the Mother Earth’s Children’s Charter School sign.
  8. There will be 3 choices when you turn. Stay to the immediate right and follow the gravel road approximately 1 km.
  9. Turn right at the MECCS sign (this will be your second right- the first access road only leads into the bush area).
  10. There is an electronic gate to the property - it will be open.
  11. Continue down the driveway to the school. Observe speed limit as there is limited visibility on corners.

Important please read

Due to the rural nature of this venue there is no source of potable water at the venue, there will be drinks for sale at the concession but please make sure you bring your own water to the event.

There is a 30 KM speed limit on the road into the property. Please follow the limit as the raod is quite narrow and there are blind corners so drive safely.

There are 3 parking areas beside the school and 1 a short drive up the road. Overflow parking will be on the sports field which is aprroxiately a 400 Metre walk. Parking directors will direct you to the nearest available eparking spots. There is no parking in the area where the food trucks will be located.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
