There are numerous public service vehicles travelling to the Central business district from various locations within and outside Nairobi. Taxi options include Uber, Taxify, and Little Cab.
Those travelling to the venue using their own means will have to use city parking slots as the venue does not provide parking space.
Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial for new participants before 3x3x3 on Saturday morning, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPL3eV-A0ww
New participants should bring some form of identification in order to confirm the information given during the registration. A passport is a good example since it shows name, age, nationality and so on.
You only need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 15 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.
A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced.
There is a French restaurant in the building and a number of fast-food joints and restaurants in the vicinity.
The venue is conveniently located in Nairobi's Central Business District where there are a number of hotels within walking distance. Affordable accomodation can be found at the After40 Hotel.
