Cette compétition fait partie du mois officiel des débutants WCA 2025. Le processus d'inscription réservera 50 % des places pour les nouveaux compétiteurs. Les nouveaux compétiteurs sont considérés comme n'ayant pas d'ID WCA ou ayant un ID WCA datant de 2025. Les anciens compétiteurs sont considérés comme ayant un ID WCA datant d'avant 2024.Les inscriptions seront acceptées selon les critères suivants :
50 % des places sont réservées aux nouveaux compétiteurs, et l'autre moitié est disponible pour les autres compétiteurs, selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi.
Si les nouveaux compétiteurs s'inscrivent rapidement et remplissent plus de 50 % des places, les autres nouveaux compétiteurs seront acceptés en même temps que les anciens.
Si les places réservées aux nouveaux compétiteurs ne sont pas toutes prises avant la clôture des inscriptions (deux semaines avant la compétition), les places restantes seront ouvertes pour tous.[EN]
This competition is part of the official WCA Newcomer Month 2025. The registration process will reserve 50% of spots for new competitors. New competitors are considered to have no WCA ID or a WCA ID from 2025. Returning competitors are considered to have a WCA ID that is from 2024 or earlier. All competitors must still follow all registration requirements for their registration to be considered complete.Registrations will be accepted based on the following:
50% of spots, as defined by the competitor limit, are reserved for new competitors.
Initially, 50% of spots, as defined by the competitor limit, are available for returning competitors on a first come, first serve basis.
If greater than 50% of new competitors register before 50% of spots are filled by returning competitors, any additional new competitors will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis alongside returning competitors.
If the spots reserved for new competitors are not filled by new competitors before registration closes two weeks prior to the competition, remaining spots, up to the competitor limit, will be accepted from registered returning competitors.

Avec cette compétition, nous espérons attirer de nombreux nouveaux cubers locaux et leur offrir une occasion de participer. Nous invitons également chaleureusement les compétiteurs venant de l'étranger à apporter une touche internationale excitante à cet événement.
Les résultats de la compétition seront ajoutés aux classements mondiaux officiels de la WCA.
Au début de la compétition, tous les compétiteurs auront l'opportunité de se familiariser avec l'équipement officiel de chronométrage : le timer Stackmat. Toute marque de puzzle peut être utilisée pendant la compétition, tant qu'elle respecte les règlements de la WCA.

Newchâtel 2025 is a speedcubing competition organised by Thomas Pierroz and Swisscubing, delegated by Ioannis Papadopoulos and Thomas Pierroz. For questions or information please e-mail to board@swisscubing.ch.
With this competition we hope to attract a lot of new local cubers and give them a chance to compete.
We also warmly invite competitors who come from abroad to give this event an exciting international mixture.
Results of the competition will be added to the official WCA World Rankings.
At the start of the competition, all competitors can familiarize with the official timing equipment : the Stackmat timer.
Any puzzle brand may be used during the competition, as long as it complies with the WCA regulations.

Informationen für Erstteilnehmer
Falls dies deine erste Competition ist, an der du teilnimmst, ist es wichtig, dass du dich mit den Regulations, also den offiziellen WCA-Regeln, bekannt machst. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir dir, dieses Video zum Ablauf einer Competition zu schauen: Competing Tutorial.
Wir werden an der Competition ein 'Judging Tutorial' abhalten, in welchem wir dir alle wichtigen Informationen nochmals praktisch aufzeigen.
Erstteilnehmer müssen ein Identifikationsdokument mitnehmen, um Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum zu bestätigen. Akzeptiert werden ID, Pass, Geburtsurkunden, Führerausweis etc. Kurz, alles was Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum bezeugt.
Informationen für alle Teilnehmer
- Bitte hilf zu judgen! Deine Einteilung als Judge ist als absolutes Minimum zu erfüllen. Weil zweite und dritte Runden keine Einteilungen von Judges haben, brauchen wir viele Teilnehmer die helfen zu judgen wann immer möglich. Wirst du persönlich aufgefordert zu judgen dann folge bitte diesen Anweisungen. Falls du nicht hilfst kann dies zu deiner Disqualifikation führen (siehe Regulation 1e2). Auch Eltern dürfen mit judgen aushelfen, es ist wirklich einfach!
- Bitte beachte dass Carbon-Fiber Puzzles nicht erlaubt sind und dass deine Würfel den Regulations entsprechen.
- Sprich NIEMALS über Scrambles oder Lösungen während die Runde im Gang ist. Siehe dazu Regulation 2g3.
- Laufen Blind-Events bitten wir dich ruhig zu sein da jedes Geräusch die Konzentration der Teilnehmer stören kann. Wir werden ankündigen ab wann Ruhe nötig ist und wenn man wieder sprechen darf.
- Fotografieren mit Blitz ist nicht erlaubt da es die Teilnehmer extrem stört.
- Wenn du zuschauen möchtest, beachte bitte den Mindestabstand von 1.5m den es laut Regulation 7b einzuhalten gilt. Wenn du einen Teilnehmer filmen möchtest beachte bitte dass du ausserhalb des Teilnehmerbereichs stehst.
- Bitte behandle die Venue mit Respekt. Entsorge deinen Müll fachgerecht oder nimm ihn nach Hause und halte deinen Platz sauber.
- An einer Competition gibt es immer tausende von Puzzles. Behalte deshalb deine Puzzles im Auge und lasse sie möglichst nicht herumliegen. Falls du doch ein Puzzle verlierst, kontaktiere uns via mailto:board@swisscubing.ch.
- Für unsere Social Media Kanäle und unsere Website werden wir Videos und Fotos aufnehmen. Als Teilnehmer oder Gast dieser Competition akzeptierst du dass du für diese Zwecke gefilmt oder fotografiert werden könntest.

Newcomer Information
If you are a newcomer, it is important that you are familiar with the Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a video that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending: Competing Tutorial. We will also be holding a 'Judging Tutorial' which we recommend you attend as well.
New competitors must bring some form of ID card to the competition to confirm the name, the country they wish to compete for, and the date of birth registered with. The items of identification that will be accepted are ID cards, Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, then it will be fine.

Information for All Competitors
- Please help judge! As a competitor, your judging assignments are the absolute minimum you should be doing to help out. As second rounds, third rounds and finals have no assigned judges, we really need people to help out whenever available for these. If you are directly asked to judge, please go and judge for the remainder of the round in progress. If you do not comply then we are within our rights to disqualify you from the competition as per Regulation 1e2. If you're a parent you can also get involved with running and judging, it's really easy!
- Please note that Carbon-Fiber puzzles are not permitted, and please make sure your cube complies with logo regulations!
- Please DO NOT talk about the scrambles or your solutions whilst the round is in progress as per Regulation 2g3.
- During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.
- No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.
- If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b. If you are filming someone competing, please stay out of the competitor area.
- Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins, black bin bags, or take it home with you and keep your area tidy.
- There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them! Keeping them in a bag and looking after it at all times is recommended. If you do lose a puzzle, please contact us here: mailto:board@swisscubing.ch.
- We will be taking videos and photographs of the competition and the environment for our social media pages and website. By attending the competition as a competitor or guest, you are accepting that you may be filmed or photographed for these purposes.

The parking for the pools is less than 10 minutes on foot from the venue: Rte des Falaises 18A, 2000 Neuchâtel.
Otherwise, there is the one at La Maladière shopping center (which is more expensive).
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
