This competition is part of the New to Edmonton 2025 Competition Series. Other competitions in this Series are: Note: You can submit a registration for all competitions in a Series, but only one of those registrations can be confirmed and accepted. You will only be allowed to compete in one of the Series competitions!
There is a competitor limit of 60 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (Canadian Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 AM UTC you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 AM UTC.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 AM UTC on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 1 guest.

Newcomer's Month Registration Changes
This competition is geared towards welcoming new cubers to competitions in line with WCA's Second Annual Newcomer's Month.
As a result, up to 30 spots will be held for first-time competitors and/or those with a 2025 WCA ID until March 17th, 2025. All remaining spots after this date will be opened to competitors on the waitlist and any who register until registration close.
Unofficial Event
3x3 with oven mitts!
This will take place before lunch and it will be in a BO1(Best Of 1) format, meaing you get one solve to try and get the best result you can!

Series Competition Information
You may have noticed this competition has a twin! Please note that you will only be allowed to compete on one day of this series.
While you may register for both days, only one registration can be accepted. If you choose to do so, please specify your preffered option in the comments section when registering and we will do our best to accomodate accordingly (subject to availability).
We are happy to announce that GAN will sponsor our competition. They will provide podium prizes for the top 3 placements for each event on both days.
This competition will be featuring an Unofficial Event! The results will be recorded through Cubing Contests, and will then be added to the rankings.

Rules
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
