There is a competitor limit of 160 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $25 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.

Please keep in mind that registrations are approved manually after payment, so your registration may not be approved immediately.
Your registration is not complete until your registration fee has been paid.
All competitiors must read the "Competitor Responsibilities" tab.

WAITLIST INFORMATION:
If the competitor limit of 160 has been reached, you can still register and pay the registration fee to secure a spot on the waitlist. During the registration period, any competitor can cancel their registration and allow the first person on the waitlist to take their spot. If you find that you cannot make it to the competition after registering, please contact us so that we can maximize attendance.
All registrants still on the waitlist after the registration period will have their registrations deleted, and will be fully refunded.
We may completely close registration if the waitlist becomes very large.

For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules. In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition.

For All Competitors

When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling/running assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

There is no official hotel for this competition, and no room blocks will be offered. Below are suggestions for lodging in the area.

The closest hotels are about 10 minutes away. Some options include Hampton Inn Fairfax City, Holiday Inn Express Fairfax - Arlington Boulevard, and Residence Inn Fairfax City.

There are some dining options on campus at Johnson Center. Weekend options include FLIP Kitchen, Express, The Halal Guys, Panera Bread, and Sweet Vegan. Additionally, there are many fast food options within a five minute drive including Chipotle, Manhattan Pizza, McDonald's, Wendy's, McAlister's Deli, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and more.

The competition will be held at the Hub Student Center (55 in the link provided). Also take note where parking decks are located as well as any other parking lots within the campus.

Attendees who wish to park inside George Mason must pay a small parking fee at any provided visitor lot or one of three parking decks. The three parking decks available include Rappahannock River, Mason Pond, and Shenandoah (10400 York River Rd, Fairfax, VA 22033). Please refer to the map above.

To staff at this competition, you must complete this application

Staff will be given a (busy) schedule to follow throughout the day. We will let you know whether or not you have been selected for staff after registration closes.

Your $25 registration fee will be refunded if your application is accepted (after the competition), but you must register and pay for the competition to be eligible for the refund. Anyone who does not register for the competition will not be able to compete.

Benefits for staffing at this competition include waived registration fee, and lunch on competition day.

Please note that staff members will be given a very rigorous staffing schedule in return for the perks outlined above. They are expected to be proactive throughout the competition and to inform the Organizers and Delegates ASAP if they find they are unable to attend.

Staff is open and encouraged for non-competitors as well!

Megaminx

If we are ahead or on schedule before the start of Megaminx Round 1, we will host a Round 2 held after 3x3 Round 2. The top 8 competitors from Megaminx Round 1 will advance to Round 2.

3x3 BLD

While we have a 15:00.00 cumulative time limit, we are also imposing a 10:00.00 per-attempt limit as permitted by Regulation A1a.

Please note - we will no longer be adding competitors to the waitlist as we do not expect to get through it in its entirety. While very unlikely, an additional registration period will be opened if we manage to get through the waitlist.

This list will be updated every few days or so until we close registration.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
