THERE IS STRICTLY NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES ALLOWED IN THE VENUE.
ALL MINORS IN THE VENUE MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT.
This competition takes place in the North Carolina building of the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center campus. There is additional seating available in the basement of the building as well as some smaller breakout rooms on the main floor. Please note that the men's restroom is in the basement and is NOT ADA accessible. There is a gender-neural restroom on the main floor of the building, as well as additional ADA accessible restrooms throughout the complex.

There is a competitor limit of 90 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 1 guest.
Due to venue size limitations, please refrain from bringing more than one guest. In addition, all minors in the venue must be supervised by an adult.
If you absolutely must bring more than one guest, please add a comment explaining so and we will make a note on your registration.
Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $30. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
The competitor limit for this competition is 90. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 90 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7:00 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 75% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7:00 PM EDT, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.

Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.
Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 90 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.
How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.
Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.
Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.
This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.
I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.
When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.
Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a fun overview of the rules.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.
For All Competitors
Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This could be displayed in one of two ways, either as a pdf or as a website link to competitiongroups.com.
If you recieve a pdf, it will contain multiple competitor cards. Find the card with your name on it, and it will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look similar to the following:
If you recieve a website link to competitiongroups.com, click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:
If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
We will be holding Magic and Master Magic as unofficial events during lunch. See regulations here.

Venue:
The North Carolina building and parking lot can be accessed from OH-750 (Powell Rd), just east of the intersection with US-23 (Columbus Pike). OH-750 can also be accessed from the east via I-71.
Parking:
There is a dedicated parking lot directly adjacent to the North Carolina building.
Entrance:
Please see the attached map for the entrance to the venue. The Collaborate room is on the main level of the building, with additional seating available in the breakout rooms on the main floor and basement.
Hotels:
There is no dedicated hotel for this competition. The competition takes place at a hotel, although there is a two-night minimum when booking.
Alternatively, there are numerous hotels located in nearby Polaris (by OH-750/I-71) and Worthington (by US-23/I-270).
Food:
THERE IS STRICTLY NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED INSIDE THE VENUE. Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
