Information

Although separate from the Ohio Championship, Ohio State Summer Mini 2026 will be hosted on Sunday in the same room as this competition, so consider signing up!

Only competitors from Ohio are eligible for the title of Ohio Champion. See Ohio Champion Title Eligibility tab for details.

Note: This competition will only include quiet events and is not recommended for new competitors.

There is a competitor limit of 50 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.

Because this is a smaller competition, it is important that all competitors help out with judging/running/scrambling assignments in order to stay on schedule, so it will be required to help out during your assignments if you wish to compete.

Ohio Quiet Championship 2026 is open to all competitors. However, the title of Ohio Champion in each event will be restricted to competitors from Ohio.

In order to be eligible to win a title, you must log in to the CubingUSA website with your WCA account and select your home state by Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 8:00 PM EDT After the competition has ended, Ohio Champions may also be required to prove residency in order to claim their titles and any additional prizes associated thereof. Please see the regional title policy found here for more details on how this system works.

Awards for this competition will be recognized and given at the Ohio Championship 2026.

Parking:
There is a parking garage located adjacent to the building at 1759 N. High Street Columbus, Ohio 43210. Pricing can be found at the garage website.

Entrance:
Ohio Union: You may enter either at the East Entrance on High Street or at the West Entrance on College Road. Proceed to the Cartoon Room on the Third Floor.

Hotels:
There is no designated hotel for this competition.
However, there are multiple hotels located near the univeristy including Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Comfort Suites, The Blackwell Inn, The Urban, and more

Food:
There are several options inside the Ohio Union including the Union Market, Woody's Tavern, and Sloopy's Diner, and Espress-OH Cafe. There are also many options within walking distance on High Street.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Regulation A1a2).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
