This competition takes place after FMC 2024, which goes from 6:00am EST to 10:30am EST. To sign up for that competition, visit the website here and list the location as "Columbus" if you plan on going to the Columbus location.
The main events for this competition take place on Sunday, Saturday afternoon will just be for 4BLD, 5BLD, and MBLD. Please only come on Saturday if you are participating in 4BLD, 5BLD, or MBLD, or wish to help us with those events which would be appreciated.

There is a competitor limit of 70 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $25 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
We encourage everyone to register for the events they want to compete in via your online registration, however you may add events to your registration up until the event has started.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of $25 (United States Dollar).
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 2 guests.
As a reminder, competitors will be limited to no more than 2 guests per competitor. If you sign up with more than 2 guests listed, your registration will not be approved.
If you need to bring more than 2 guests, please reach out to the organizers in the Contact section of this website to explain why, where we will manually approve the registration.Ohio State University students (and alumni) will be able to participate in this competition for free. If you are attending or graduated from The Ohio State University, register for the competition as normal and pay the full registration fee to be accepted. Your registration will not be accepted if the full fee is not paid. Once accepted, please contact the Organizers at ohiostatecubeclub@gmail.com with a picture of your BuckID or some other valid proof of current or previous attendance. Once verified, your registration will be refunded.
If you an Ohio State University student or alumni but are not a member of The Rubik's Cube Club at Ohio State, you can contact the Organizers at the email previously listed to join the club. - Highlights

Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $25. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
Note: You are only allowed to bring up to 2 guests with you to this competition. If you list more than 2 guests in your registration, it will not be approved without contacting the organizers.
The competitor limit for this competition is 70. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 70 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:00 PM EDT are eligible for a refund for 75% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 4:00 PM EDT, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.

Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.
Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 70 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.
How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.
Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.
Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.
This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.
I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.
When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.
Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.
Can I join The Rubik's Cube Club at Ohio State?
Of course! Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings and club events. If you wish to attend meetings and are in high school or below, please email us at ohiostatecubeclub@gmail.com

For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a fun overview of the rules.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.
For All Competitors
Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This could be displayed in one of two ways, either as a pdf or as a website link to competitiongroups.com.
If you recieve a pdf, it will contain multiple competitor cards. Find the card with your name on it, and it will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look similar to the following:
If you recieve a website link to competitiongroups.com, click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:
If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

There is a parking garage located adjacent to the building at 1759 N. High Street Columbus, Ohio 43210. Pricing can be found at the garage website.
Entrance:
Ohio Union: You may enter either at the East Entrance on High Street or at the West Entrance on College Road. Proceed to the east side of the third floor to the Cartoon Room.
Hotels:
There is no designated hotel for this competition.
However, there are multiple hotels located near the univeristy including Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Comfort Suites, The Blackwell Inn, The Urban, and more
Food:
There are options available on inside the Union including Woody's Tavern and Union Market, as well as several restaurants on High St. including Subway, Raising Canes, and more.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
