Registration Reminders
Since this is a "favourites" competition, you may choose at most four (4) events.
You must register and pay the registration fee before your registration can be accepted. Unpaid registrations will not be accepted. See the Competitor List and Waiting List sections near the bottom of this page for more details.
Competitor Requirements
This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. There is a competitor limit of 180 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $45 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 AM UTC you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 AM UTC.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 AM UTC on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 2 guests.
Competitors may register in at most 4 events.

Guest Limit
Space is limited in the venue and our priority is allowing as many competitors as possible to compete within our limited venue space. There are many open spaces around the campus that can be used instead.
Competitors may bring at most two (2) guests.
Competitor List
Registrants must pay the registration fee in order to be added to the competitor list. Organizers manually accept registrations one at a time in the order the registration fees are paid, so you may have to wait a while before your name could show up on the competitor list.
Once the competitor list reaches the 180 competitor limit, registrants who pay the registration fee will be added to the waiting list instead of the competitor list. Due to the competitor limit, completing your registration within the initial registration period does not guarantee you a spot on the competitor list.
Waiting List
The waiting list is ordered based on the timestamp that registrants paid the registration fee. For privacy reasons, this list is not available to the public. If you are added to the waiting list you will be informed via an email from the Organization team.
Anyone on the waiting list who wishes to be removed from the waiting list may contact the organizers to delete their registration and be refunded 100% of their registration fee.
If the competitor list fills up quickly, registration could close earlier than the originally listed date (September 20th, 2024). The waiting list will close at the same time that registration closes.
If anyone on the competitor list deletes their registration, the person at the top of the waiting list will be moved to the competitor list. After September 20th, 2024, the competitor list will be finalized and registrants who are still on the waiting list will be refunded 100% of their registration fee.

Lorsque la liste des compétiteurs atteint la limite de 180 compétiteurs, les personnes qui ont payé les frais d'inscription seront ajoutées à la liste d'attente au lieu de la liste des compétiteurs. En raison de la limite de compétiteurs, le fait de compléter votre inscription pendant la période d'inscription initiale ne vous garantit pas une place sur la liste des compétiteurs.
Liste d'attente
La liste d'attente est ordonnée en fonction de l'horodatage du paiement des droits d'inscription par les inscrits. Pour des raisons de confidentialité, cette liste n'est pas accessible au public. Si vous êtes ajouté à la liste d'attente, vous en serez informé par un e-mail de l'équipe de l'Organisation.

Après le 20 septembre 2024 la liste des compétiteurs sera clôturée et les personnes inscrites qui figurent encore sur la liste d'attente seront remboursées à 100 % de leurs frais d'inscription.

How do I register for the compeition?

* You must register for the competition and pay the registration fee. Organizers manually accept registrations, so you may have to wait a day or two before your name shows up on the competitor list. Unpaid registrations will not be accepted.

When should I arrive at the competition?
Please aim to arrive during one of the check-in windows. Morning check-in will be from 8:15-8:45 am, and afternoon check-in will be from from 12:30-1:00 pm. If you are only competing in the afternoon events (3x3x3, 2x2x2, Pyraminx, Skewb) we recommend that you arrive around 12:30 pm. Refer to the schedule tab to see when each event is happening, and to the travel tab for instructions on how to get to the venue.

Quand dois-je arriver à la compétition?
Veuillez arriver pendant l'une des périodes d'enregistrement. L'enregistrement du matin se fera de 8h15 à 8h45 et celui de l'après-midi de 12h30 à 13h. Si vous ne participez qu'aux épreuves de l'après-midi (3x3x3, 2x2x2, Pyraminx, Skewb), nous vous recommandons d'arriver vers 12h30. Consultez l'onglet schedule pour connaître les heures de chaque épreuve et l'onglet voyager pour savoir comment vous rendre au lieu de l'événement.

Venue
The venue is in Building D at the Algonquin College Ottawa campus. Please refer to this map for more details.
To get to Salon A/B/C from Parking Lot 8:
- Enter in the silver building “Robert C Gillet Students Commons” (this is the E building on the campus map)
- Continue straight ahead and stay to the left when you reach the Bookstore
- Continue up the ramp and go straight until you see “Marketplace Food Court” on the left. Go through the double doors that say “Event & Banquet Salons” (if you walk up a second ramp you went too far – turn around)
- Salon A/B/C will be in front of you once you go through the double doors
Public Transit
Algonquin College is serviced by OC Transpo's Baseline station on the west side of the campus.
Parking
The closest and most convenient parking to the venue is in lot 8. Please follow the HONK Mobile instructions to pay for your parking.
Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi available at the college for all guests; the network is called "ACGuest".
Lunch
The Marketplace Food Court will be open fom 9 am - 2 pm. There are also multiple food options within a 5 minute walk north of the venue.

La salle est située dans le bâtiment D du campus d'Ottawa du Collège Algonquin. Veuillez consulter la carte pour plus de détails.
Pour se rendre au salon A/B/C depuis le parking 8 :
- Entrez dans le bâtiment argenté "Robert C Gillet Students Commons" (c'est le bâtiment E sur le plan du campus).
- Continuez tout droit et restez à gauche lorsque vous atteignez la librairie.
- Continuez à monter la rampe et allez tout droit jusqu'à ce que vous voyiez "Marketplace Food Court" sur la gauche. Passez les doubles portes qui indiquent "Event & Banquet Salons" (si vous montez une deuxième rampe, vous êtes allé trop loin - faites demi-tour).
- Les salons A/B/C seront devant vous une fois que vous aurez franchi les doubles portes.
Transport en commun
Le Collège Algonquin est desservi par la station Baseline d'OC Transpo, située à l'ouest du campus.

These groups are when you are assigned to compete, judge and/or scramble during an event you are registered for.
Per Regulations 1e2 and 1f2, all competitors must be available to help judge and scramble. If you're unsure how to judge, please review the WCA Regulations, watch this judging video tutorial, or ask one of the WCA Delegates at the competition.
Please plan to arrive to each of your groups five minutes before it is scheduled to begin. Showing up excessively late to your group may result in not being allowed to compete in that event.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
