La Asociación Madrileña de Speedcubing es uno de los colaboradores principales del campeonato, encargada del desarrollo y la organización de este. Son miembros de la Junta Directiva de esta asociación los que se encargan de la organización ya mencionada.
La asociación presta todo el material necesario para que el capeonato pueda llevarse a cabo.

Asociación Madrileña de Speedcubing (Madrid Spanish Association) is one of the main collaborators of the competition, responsible for the development and organization of this. Members of the Board of this association are the organizers.

Cómo llegar

Parla se encuentra situada a menos de media hora de Madrid. Estas son las mejores opciones para llegar al lugar de la competición:

• Transporte público: se recomienda llegar hasta la estación de Parla en la línea C-4 de Cercanías. Esta línea se puede coger en, entre otras estaciones, la estación de tren de Atocha (vía 7), Sol, Nuevos Ministerios o Chamartín. También es posible llegar en Cercanías desde el aeropuerto o la estación sur de autobuses haciendo transbordo en Atocha. A continuación deberás transbordar al Tranvía de Parla hasta la parada Venus Sur, que te dajará justo en la puerta del sitio de la competición, o hasta la parada Venus Norte, que te dejará a 50m.
  También se puede llegar a Parla en autobús tomando las líneas 460, 461, 463, 464 o 469 desde Madrid (Plaza Elíptica) y las líneas 462, 466 y 471 desde otros municipios de la zona sur de Madrid.

• Coche: se recomienda la carretra A-42. Desde Madrid hay que tomar la salida 19B y desde Toledo hay que tomar la salida 25. También es posible llegar utilizando la A-4 tomando la salida 22 y luego las carreteras M-506 y M-408 hasta Parla.

How to arrive

Parla is located less than half an hour from Madrid. These are the best options to get to the place of the competition:

• By public transport: it is recommended to reach the Parla station in the Cercanías C-4 line. You can take this line from, among other stations, Atocha station (platform 7), Sol, Nuevos Ministerios or Chamartín. It is also possible to arrive by Cercanías from the airport or the bus station transfering in Atocha. At your arrival you must transfer to Parla's Tram to Venus Sur stop, that will leave you right at the door of the competition venue, or to Venus Norte stop, 50m far from the venue.
  It is also possible to arrive to Parla by bus taking the lines 460, 461, 463, 464 or 469 from Madrid (Plaza Elíptica) and the lines 462, 466 or 471 from other towns in the south of Madrid.

• By car the A-42 highway is recommended. From Madrid you have to take the exit 19B and from Toledo you have to take the exit 25. It is also possible to use the A-4 highway taking the exit 22 and then driving by the M-506 and M-408 roads until Parla.

Alojamiento

Si vienes desde fuera de la Comunidad de Madrid, puedes alojarte en el Apartahotel Villa de Parla. Este hotel ofrece unos precios especiales a los competidores, así que al reservar diles que eres competidor o público de la competición. Contacto:

El hotel está cerca del centro de la ciudad, por lo que es fácil llegar desde el la estación de Cercanías de Parla en caso de que vengas desde alguna estación en la ciudad de Madrid (como Atocha si vienes a Madrid en tren, Aeropuerto T4 si vienes en avión o Méndez Álvaro si vienes en autobús). Pero también está a 15-20 minutos andando de la competición para que no haya que caminar mucho.

If you come from outside the Community of Madrid, you can stay at the Apartahotel Villa de Parla. This hotel offers special prices to competitors, so when booking, tell them that you are a competitor or public at the competition. Contact:

The hotel is close to the city center so it is easy to get there from Parla Cercanías station in case you come from some train station in the city of Madrid (such as Atocha if you come to Madrid by train, Aeropuerto T4 if you come by plane or Méndez Álvaro if you come by bus). But it is also at 15-20 minutes walk away from the competition so that you do not have to walk too much.

Preguntas Frecuentes

Estas son las preguntas más frecuentes:

• ¿Cómo me registro?
  En la página principal de la competición aparecen las instrucciones para registrarte. Es importante inscribirte por adelantado porque no se aceptan pagos in situ. No hace falta ser mayor de edad para competir, si eres menor de edad puedes competir con el consentimiento de tus padres. Te debes registrar con tus datos personales.

• Es mi primera competición, ¿qué tengo que hacer?
  Como nuevo competidor deberás de familiarizarte con el Reglamento de la WCA. El reglamento oficial está en inglés americano aunque existen adaptaciones audiovisuales y escritas al español (como este vídeo o esta guía). Ante cualquier duda no dudes en preguntar al Delegado de la WCA o a los organizadores.

• ¿Cuándo tengo que competir?
  En la inscripción te repartiremos unos papeles que marcan los grupos en los que compites. Igualmente, el horario puede sufrir ligeras modificaciones, así que estate atento a las notificaciones por megafonía.

• ¿Cuándo tengo que hacer de juez o runner?
  Al igual que en los grupos en los que compites, en la inscripción te repartiremos unos papeles que te muestran cuándo tienes que hacer de juez o runner obligatoriamente. Pero puedes ayudar cuando quieras y, de hecho, agradecemos enormemente todo apoyo voluntario.

• ¿El horario es definitivo?
  Sí, el horario de la web es definitivo, aunque podría sufrir ligeras modificaciones. Así que si no compites hasta una hora determinada, no tienes por qué asistir a los eventos de antes. No obstante, recomendamos llegar con 15-30 minutos de antelación por si acaso el horario se adelantara un poco.

• ¿Me puedo registrar fuera del horario marcado como “Registro”?
  Sí, te puedes registrar a cualquier hora. Siempre habrá algún organizador o staff en el registro para atenderte.

• ¿Tengo que llevar mis propios cubos?
  Tienes que llevar tus propios cubos, nosotros no te los podemos dar. Por lo general no deberías de tener problema con tus cubos pero asegúrate de que se adaptan al Reglamento oficial.

• ¿Puedo cambiar los eventos a los que me presento?
  Sí, lo puedes hacer tú mismo antes de la fecha límite desde la página de registrarse. No olvides dar a Actualizar Registro.

• Ya no puedo ir a la competición, ¿qué hago?
  Si ya no puedes ir a la competición debes informarnos al equipo organizador para que otra persona pueda ocupar tu plaza (pues las plazas son limitadas). No podemos ofrecer reembolsos completos debido a que el pago de la inscripción es un contrato de compromiso.

• ¿Cómo puedo ver los tiempos en directo?
  Para ver las clasificaciones en vivo contaremos con soporte en la plataforma de WCA Live.

These are the most frequently asked questions:

• How do I register?
  There are instruction about how to register on the home page of the competition. It is important to register before the competition because on-site payments aren't accepted. You do not have to be an adult to compete, if you aren't an adult you can compete with consent from your parents. You must register with your personal data.

• It is my first competition. What do I have to do?
  As a new competition you should familiarize yourself with the WCA Regulations. The official regulation are in American English and there are also some translations and guides (such as this video or this guide). If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask it to the WCA Delegate or to the organizers.

• When do I have to compete?
  In the registration we will distribute some papers that mark the groups in which you compete. Also, the schedule can suffer slight modifications, so be aware of speaker notifications.

• When do I have to be a judge or runner?
  As in the groups in which you compete, in the inscription we will give you some papers that show you when you have to judge or runner obligatorily. But you can help when you want and, in fact, we strongly appreciate all volunteer support.

• Is the schedule definitive?
  Yes, the schedule of the web is the definitive one, although there could be minor changes. So if you don't compete until a certain time, you don't have to attend the previous events. Nevertheless, we recommend arriving 15-30 minutes in case the schedule is ahead of time.

• Can I register outside the hours marked as 'Registration'?
  Yes, you can register at any time. There will always be an organizer or staff in the registry to assist you.

• Do I have to carry my own cubes?
  You have to carry your own cubes, we can't give them to you. In general, you shouldn't have a problem with your cubes but make sure they adapted to the official Regulations.

• Can I change the events I am register for?
  Yes, you can do it yourself before the given deadline in the registration page. Don't forget to click on Update Registration.

• I am not longer able to attend. What do I do?
  If you can not go to the competition, you must inform to the organization team so another person can supply your place (since places are limited). We can not offer full refunds because the payment of the registration is a commitment contract.

• How can I see the times on live?
  To see the live ratings we will have support on the WCA Live platform.
