Day 1 Events: 6x6x6 Cube, 7x7x7 Cube, 3x3x3 Fewest Moves, Clock, Megaminx, 4x4x4 Blindfolded
Day 2 Events: 3x3x3 Cube, 2x2x2 Cube, 4x4x4 Cube, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1
Competitors may bring at most one guest. This will be checked at the entrance of the competition. No external spectators are allowed, only those coming with a confirmed competitor will be allowed in the venue.
All attendees (competitors + guests) must show valid proof of at least one of the following two requirements to be allowed in the venue:
1) They are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To clarify, an individual is only considered fully vaccinated if they have received their second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) or their only dose of a single-dose vaccine (J&J) more than two weeks before the competition. Any dose received after Saturday, December 3rd is insufficient for entrance to the competition.
OR
2) They tested negative for COVID-19 within 96 hours (4 days) of the competition. The date when the test is conducted is what matters, not the date when the results are received. Any test conducted earlier than Tuesday, December 13th is insufficient for entrance to the competition.
Along with a full vaccination or negative test document, a valid ID must be shown and checked at the registration desk on the day of the competition. Any proof sent electronically to the organizers and/or delegates prior to the competition will not be accepted.

If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.

Travel Options:
Plane: The closest airport is Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). It is a 20 minute drive away by car, or 1 hour away via bus route 28X (Airport Flyer).

Bus/Train: The Pittsburgh Megabus stop is in fact right under the convention center, and the Amtrak and Greyhound stations are not much farther, only a 5 minute walk away.
Parking: There are many parking options downtown, including the convention center's own garage. See ParkPGH for all parking options, real-time availability, and detailed costs.
Hotels: The Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh Downtown is right next to the convention center, and there are many other options both downtown and in the surrounding area/suburbs.
Lunch/Dinner: There are several fast food restaurants in the immediate vicinity and an even higher number of choices at Market Square, a 10-minute walk from the convention center.

- Attendees should maintain a minimum of 3ft from others whenever possible.
- The organizing team strongly recommends receiving a COVID-19 vaccination before competing. For information on, and finding vaccines near you, please use this website!
- If you have symptoms related to COVID-19 such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc. do not attend this competition.
- If you have had a positive COVID-19 test or prolonged exposure to someone with the virus within 14 days prior to the competition, do not attend.
- The competition may be cancelled if the COVID-19 situation in Pennsylvania and/or the US gets worse.
- By registering for this competition, you agree that you understand all the information presented in this tab, will abide by all the COVID-19 restrictions placed on this competition, and acknowledge the risk of contracting COVID-19 or any other disease in attending an event of this scale.

For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules.

For All Competitors
When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:
If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
Registration Process
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $40.00. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
The competitor limit for this competition is 75. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 75 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.
Competitors MUST register and pay online in order to compete. No at-the-door registrations or payments will be accepted.
Any requested changes to registration before 7:00 PM EST on Tuesday, December 13 will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before 7:00 PM EST on Tuesday, December 13 are eligible for a refund for half (50%) of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once 75 competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before 7:00 PM EST on Tuesday, December 13, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.
If you get off the waitlist, you will receive an email indicating that your registration was approved. If you are still on the waiting list on Tuesday, December 13th at 7:00 PM EST, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee.
We have partnered with the Omni William Penn Hotel Pittsburgh to offer a special rate for the weekend of this competition! The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the venue at 530 William Penn Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
They have provided a courtesy group rate for 20 guest rooms at a rate of $135.00/night for Friday December 16th and Saturday December 17th. As there are only 20 rooms in this block, please consider reserving one sooner rather than later. Rooms are reserved for our group until November 16th, so please book one before then to reserve your accomodation for this competition!
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
