Important info

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial for new participants before the start of 2x2x2 on Saturday morning, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide. is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete! You can register here.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 15 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Viktig info

Alla tävande ska ha läst WCA regulations. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCAs reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Vi kommer innan starten av 2x2x2 på lördag morgon ha en deltagarintroduktion för nya deltagare där vi går igenom hur det går till när man tävlar på en officiell WCA-tävling. Vill man redan nu få bättre koll på hur tävlingsproceduren går till, kolla då gärna denna video som visar detta på ett bra sätt. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Du måste vara redo att tävla när din grupp startar Du behöver vara på plats i lokalen under de grenar där du planerar att delta. Du behöver dock vara på plats i lokalen senast 15 minuter innan din första gren ska börja, så du hinner fullfölja registreringen. Vi rekommenderar dock alltid att ni är på plats i lokalen minst 15 minuter innan er nästa gren, då schemat kan variera något jämfört med vad som först var planerat.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Registration

The registration is not considered complete until you have paid the registration fee of 150 SEK. Payment is done through the WCA website, this will show up automatically right after you register.
If your name doesn't appear on the competitor list 48 hours after paying, contact the organisers. (Contact information under the "General info" tab.)

If you have registered but then can't go to the competition, please send an e-mail telling us this as that will leave your spot for somebody else, and you will also get a refund of 100% of the registration fee as long as it's done before January 27th.

Registration will close on January 26th, or when the competitor limit of 90 competitors is reached.

Anmälan

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! There should not be much to worry about, but this tab will give you some useful information for you to prepare for the competition.

Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.
If you've never competed before, you need to bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's licence.

We will have a demonstration showing how the competing process works before the start of 2x2x2 on Saturday morning, but we highly recommend watching this video to get a good understanding of how solving in competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them.

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before your events.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA-Live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Det finns inte mycket att oroa sig för, men denna flik ger er lite användbar information så ni kan förbereda er inför tävlingen.

Det är viktigt att du läser igenom alla flikar här på sidan, eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.
Om du aldrig tävlat förut måste du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort.

På både lördag morgon innan starten av 2x2x2 kommer vi demonstrera hur det går till att tävla, men vi rekommenderar starkt att du även kollar på den här videon så du bättre förstår hur det går till att lösa i tävling. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Det är också viktigt att du läser igenom WCA-reglerna så du får en bättre förståelse för vilka olika tidsstraff du kan få på lösningarna, och hur du undviker dem.

Kom ihåg att du bara behöver vara i lokalen när du har någon gren att tävla i, men eftersom schemat kan ändras något under tävlingen rekommenderar vi att du är där minst 15 minuter innan din första gren.

Under hela tävlingen kommer du kunna se live-resultat från WCA-Live, där kan du se vilka resultat du fick, och ifall du gick vidare till nästa runda.

Travel

• Gula Längan: Competitor accomodation
• Flen Station: Flen´s main bus and train station. The best route from this station to the competitor accomodation and competition venue is also shown.
• Träffpunkten Flen: Closest fast food restaurant. There are more options around here too.
• ICA Kvantum Flen: Closest supermarket, after the closure of Coop Flen in October 2018.

Adress of the venue: Drottninggatan 24, 642 37 Flen (Aktivitetshuset Skjortan)

Car: Main roads 55 and 57 go through Flen, which you access from the E4 and E20 roads. Head against the city center in the roundabout close to the petrol stations. Follow "Södra Kungsgatan" until you drive over the railroad for the second time. Then take the first left onto "Drottninggatan". Continue 1 kilometer, and you will have the venue on your right. Free car parking is available in front of the venue, and 100 meter further down the road at "Hammarvallen".

Train: The competition schedule has been adjusted to fit the train timetable, mainly from Stockholm but also from Gothenburg and Malmö / Copenhagen. Take the train to Flen station. The venue is then 700 meters away from the station. Walk through the tunnel under the railway, shown on the map above. Train tickets can be booked through: sj.se. Please remember to book a train ensuring that you will be able to get to the venue at least 15 minutes before the first event in which you plan to participate.

Plane: Your main options will either be Stockholm Arlanda, or Stockholm Skavsta airports. Arlanda is Stockholm´s main airport, served by many destinations, but also around 1:30-2:00 hours away. To book tickets to and from Arlanda, you can make use of sj.se. Stockholm Skavsta is only served by low cost carriers, but it is located much closer, only 45 minutes by car. Bus timetables and prices can be found using Sörmlandstrafiken.

Bil: Riksvägarna 55 och 57 går genom Flen, som du når från europavägarna E4 och E20. Kör mot centrum i rondellen nära bensinstationerna. Följ "Södra Kungsgatan" tills du kör över järnvägen för andra gången. Ta sedan första vänster in på Drottninggatan. Fortsätt 1 kilometer, så har du sedan tävlingslokalen till höger. Gratis parkering finns framför lokalen samt 100 meter längre ner längs vägen vid "Hammarvallen".

Tåg: Tävlingsschemat har anpassats till tågtidtabellen från främst Stockholm, men även Göteborg samt Malmö / Köpenhamn. Ta tåget till Flen station. Tävlingslokalen är då 700 meter från stationen. Gå genom tunneln under järnvägen, som visas på kartan ovan. Biljetter kan bokas via: sj.se. Kom ihåg att boka ett tåg som garanterar att du kommer till tävlingslokalen minst 15 minuter före den första grenen där du planerar att delta.

Flyg: Dina huvudalternativ är antingen Stockholm Arlanda eller Stockholm Skavsta flygplats. Arlanda är Stockholms huvudflygplats, som betjänas av många destinationer, men är också runt 1:30-2:00 timmar bort. För att boka biljetter till och från Arlanda kan du använda sj.se. Stockholm Skavsta trafikeras endast av lågprisbolag, men ligger mycket närmare, bara 45 minuter bort med bil. Busstidtabeller och priser finns på Sörmlandstrafiken.

Competitors and guests will be able to sleep in nearby Gula Längan. It will be in a similar arrangement as before, 250 SEK per night, in hostel standard, breakfast included. There are only 32 beds available, so please book as early as you can. Booking is made through this form.

Deltagare och gäster kommer kunna sova i närbelägna Gula Längan. Det kommer vara ett liknande upplägg som tidigare år, 250kr per person, i vandrarhemsstandard, frukost inkluderat. Det finns endast 32 bäddar att tillgå, så boka så snart som möjligt. Bokningar görs genom detta formulär.

Food

Many supermarkets are located close to the venue, in the city center. A pizzeria and a few restaurants are also located at the city center, about 700 meters away from the venue. No food or similar will be sold at the venue this time around.

Mat

Många mataffärer ligger nära tävlingslokalen, i Flens centrum. En pizzeria och några restauranger ligger också i centrum, cirka 700 meter från lokalen. Ingen mat eller liknande kommer säljas i lokalen denna gång.

We are going to use the WCA-Live program for live results. A link to the competition specific page can be found here: (WCA-Live). The page will be updated during the days before the competition, and this is also the page which you should visit to see the live results during the competition, and see whether you proceeded to the next round or not.
