- Information
Quinnipiac University will host its first official WCA competition this September! We are planning a competition with a relaxed but engaging and social atmosphere, that will hopefully give the Connecticut cubing community a chance to connect.
The theme of this competition is breadth rather than depth. Our events will sample a variety of puzzle categories, from larger cubes (4x4) and different solving approaches (One-Handed, Blindfolded, Fewest Moves), to puzzles of different shapes (Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1). All events except the traditional 3x3 speedsolve will be single rounds; Fewest Moves in particular will consist of one hour-long attempt.
Family, friends, and guests are welcome, but we ask competitors to let us know the number of people attending on their registration forms. The parking lot in front of the venue should be free of charge, but there are no guarantees if that particular lot reaches capacity.
We look forward to seeing you in September!
