This is a series competition with Crystal City Fall 2022. You may only register for and compete in one of the two competitions. If you have already registered (with payment) for Crystal City Fall 2022, your registration for this competition will be rejected.
COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION:
All attendees (competitors + guests) must show valid proof of a negative test for COVID-19 within 96 hours (4 days) of the competition. A rapid test is acceptable proof for a negative result. The date when the test is conducted is what matters, not the date when the results are received. Any test conducted earlier than Tuesday, November 15th is insufficient for entrance to the competition.
Along with a negative test document, a valid ID must be shown and checked at the registration desk on the day of the competition. Any proof sent electronically to the organizers and/or delegates prior to the competition will not be accepted.Competitors and guests are strongly recommended to wear masks during the day to help prevent spread and protect themselves from COVID-19. Additionally, competitors are strongly recommended to bring at most one guest.

This competition is part of the DMV Fall 2022 Competition Series. Other competitions in this Series are: Note: You can submit a registration for all competitions in a Series, but only one of those registrations can be confirmed and accepted. You will only be allowed to compete in one of the Series competitions!
There is a competitor limit of 125 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $10 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Please keep in mind that registrations are approved manually after payment, so your registration may not be approved immediately.
Your registration is not complete until your registration fee has been paid.Additionally, River Hill High School (RHHS) students and faculty are granted free entry. You must still pay the registration fee, but you will be refunded afterwards. Please list if you are a RHHS student or faculty member in the comments of your registration to receive your refund.

If the competitor limit of 125 has been reached, you can still register and pay the registration fee to secure a spot on the waitlist. During the registration period, any competitor can cancel their registration and allow the first person on the waitlist to take their spot. If you find that you cannot make it to the competition after registering, please contact us so that we can maximize attendance.
All registrants still on the waitlist after the registration period will have their registrations deleted, and will be fully refunded.

For First-Time Competitors

For All Competitors
When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling/running assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:
If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

For this competition, we are requiring all competitors to provide proof of a valid negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 4 days before the competition. Both At-home rapid tests and tests conducted at a medical center are acceptable. The test must be a clear negative, meaning that it cannot be an inconclusive test (example: no lines on an at-home rapid test after 15 minutes). The test cannot be take any earlier than Tuesday, November 15th. For proof of the negative test, please take a picture with an indicator of the date and time in the picture. Any competitor who fails to provide proof of a valid negative tests will not be allowed to compete.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
