Information

This competition is open to all competitors, but only competitors who are residents of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming are eligible to win the title of Rocky Mountain Champion.

There is a competitor limit of 450 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $60 (United States Dollar).
The registration fee has to be paid through Stripe here once registered.
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.
Competitors may only register for events that they are already qualified for.

Registration

  • Registration is first come, first served based on the order of when payment is received. Registrations must be accepted manually, so if you do not see your name on the competitor list within one business day, then please contact the organizers to resolve the issue.
  • Incomplete registration will not be accepted. Registrations without the first and last name of the competitor and payment are considered incomplete and will not be accepted

Deadlines
All deadlines on the website are final, no exceptions will be made. Please be aware of deadlines and be sure to check emails.

Deleting Registration/Refunds

  • If you would like to cancel your registration, please email us before the registration deadline on Friday, May 31st, 2024 at 11:59 PM MST to recieve a 50% refund.
  • After the refund deadline passes, no refunds will be awarded.

Adding/Dropping Events

  • Competitors may request (by email) to add or remove events to their registration before Friday, May 31st, 2024 at 11:59 PM MST.
  • Competitors may not add or remove events after registration closes.

Waitlist

  • If the competitor limit has been reached, the waitlist opens. You can join the waitlist by registering and paying the registration fee.
  • Competitors will be accepted from the waitlist when spots become available. Competitors on the waitlist will be accepted in the order that they paid.
  • Competitors who do not make it off of the waitlist will receive a full refund after registration closes.
  • No more registrations will be accepted from the waitlist after registration closes on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at 11:59 PM MST.

Rocky Mountain Championships will now be selling T-Shirts! Shirts are available to order online for $30 using our order form up until May 26th. We will also have a limited number of shirts available to purchase in-person at the competition.

Payments can be made here. Please submit payment before completing the order form. Be sure to include your name when completing your payment. Payments made without the completion of the order form will not be fulfilled. Order forms made without payment will not be fulfilled.

Shirts will be available for pickup during the competition.

If you are interested in being a a staff member for this competition, please fill out this application no later than Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:59 PM MDT. Staff members will be expected to help out for a majority of the groups when they are not competing. All competitors will also be expected to help out with roles such as judging and running.

CubingUSA Rocky Mountain Championship 2024 is open to all competitors. However, the title of Rocky Mountain Champion in each event will be limited to elligble competitors from Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. In order to be ellible to win a title, you must log in to the CubingUSA website with your WCA account and select your home state before the competition begins. After the competition has ended, all regional champions will be required to prove residency in order to claim their titles and prizes

Fill out the registration form to register for our unofficial round of FTO at Rocky Mountain Championship 2024! You must be registered for the official WCA competition first to compete in FTO.

Cutoff for the average is 2:30 (within 2 attempts) and the time limit for each solve is 4 minutes.

Due to limited space, we will only be able to accept a limited number of competitors for 6x6, 7x7, Megaminx, Clock, 3x3 Multi-Blind, 4x4 Blindfolded, and 5x5 Blindfolded. These spaces will operate on first come, first served basis. Any registrations made after the competitor limits are hit will be removed.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced across rounds (see Guideline A1a2++).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Qualification

Qualification times must be set in other WCA competitions in order to compete. Qualification times must be set before No date.
