For each round before a final round, "Top X advance to next round" in the schedule means "Top X Germans proceed". Following the WCA Regulations, this means that all competitors with a different nationality who are ranked better than the X-th best German proceed as well.

Newcomer information

If this is your first WCA competition, please pay attention to the following:

• According to Regulation 2e), all newcomers are required to bring some form of identification document that shows name, citizenship and date of birth.
• All newcomers are urgently asked to attend the Tutorial (see schedule).
• Every competitor should have read the official WCA Regulations at least once before attending the competition! A more condensed version of the important regulations can be found at the WCA Competition Tutorial. We also recommend this video guide for a more visual impression.
• Don't be afraid: there will also be time to test the equipment (for example the official timing device, the Stackmat timer) and discuss the rules if you have questions at the competition.
• If you have urgent questions before the competition, please feel free to contact the competition organizers.

Falls dies dein erstes WCA Turnier sein sollte, beachte bitte die folgenden Punkte:

• Alle Neulinge sind dazu verpflichtet, ein Ausweisdokument an der Anmeldung vorzuzeigen (Regulation 2e)). Aus dem Dokument müssen Name, Nationalität und Geburtsdatum hervorgehen.
• Alle Neulinge sind eindringlich gebeten, am Tutorial (siehe Zeitplan) teilzunehmen. Wir werden euch zur Unterstützung außerdem diesen Flyer austeilen.
• Jeder Teilnehmer sollte bereits vor der Meisterschaft mindestens einmal die offiziellen Regeln der WCA gelesen haben. Zusätzlich empfehlen wir euch einen Blick in das WCA Competition Tutorial bzw. unsere deutschsprachige Teilnehmer-Anleitung. Dort findet ihr wichtige Infos zum Ablauf und zur Teilnahme am Wettbewerb. Weiterhin bietet zum Beispiel auch dieses Video-Tutorial einen guten unterstützenden Einblick.
• Keine Angst: während des Turniers besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit dem offiziellen Equipment (Stackmat-Timer) vertraut zu machen und Fragen aller Art zu stellen.
• Bei wichtigen Fragen vor dem Turnier kannst du dich gerne an das Organisationsteam wenden.

• Parking spaces are limited due to the central location, you may have to walk a little further or travel by public transport (https://www.l.de/verkehrsbetriebe/fahrplan/)
• Caution: do not park in the parking lot at the Netto supermarket
• Parking in front of the beach volleyball court is subject to a charge
• You can reach the venue from 2 sides, Salomonstraße 10 or via Inselstraße 6, opposite the Netto supermarket (past the beach volleyball and soccer field)

In the school cafeteria there will be a lunch offer for €5.50 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Including salad buffet) A preliminary survey will be conducted via email.
Of course you can also bring your own food and drinks.
From the venue you can reach a Netto supermarket including a bakery (100 meters, Inselstrasse 6) and a consumer goods store (250 meters, Dresdener Strasse 9A).
Nearby are the main train station (12 minutes walk) and Augustusplatz/entrance to the center (10 minutes walk) with many restaurants and snack bars. Food delivery is also possible.
You can find an overview of the restaurants in Leipzig Central Station at: https://www.promenaden-hauptbahnhof-leipzig.de/gastronomie/ The Rewe supermarket in the main station is also open on Sundays (12 p.m. - 6 p.m.).

For the following events, only a limited amount of competitors will be allowed to compete. These competitors will be determined by the ranking of the registered competitors:
* 4x4x4 Blindfolded: top 16 registered (official single Ranking)
* 5x5x5 Blindfolded: top 16 registered (official single Ranking)
* 3x3x3 Multiblind: top 16 registered (official single Ranking)
* 3x3x3 Fewest Moves: top 32 registered (official mean Ranking)
This means you will need to qualify by being in the top 16/32 registered competitors by WCA world rankings by September 27th, 2024 in order to compete in these events.

On Saturday evening, we will be holding a fun event for which the state rankings will play a role. The team event with a knockout round promises exciting and surprising matches between the different federal states. We will announce the exact format, team composition and further details in due course. We will also inform potential participants in advance, so check your emails regularly!
