Important info

All competitors must have read the WCA regulations. Participants are expected to know WCA's regulations before attending an official competition. We will have a competitor tutorial for new participants before the start of the competition on bth Saturday and Sunday morning, where we will show how to compete in an official WCA competition. If you want to get a better idea of how the competition works already, please check this video which will show you this. Reading through this guide. is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

You must be registered for this competetiton online in order to compete! You can register here.

All new competitors should bring a valid ID. To be allowed to compete as a new competitor, you need to be able to identify yourself and the information you provided us when you registred for this competition. A passport is a good example of a valid ID since it shows all necessary information, such as name, nationality and date of birth.

You must be ready to compete when your group starts. You need to be present at the venue during the events in which you plan to attend. However, you need to be present at the venue no later than 20 minutes before your first event starts so that you have enough time to complete the registration. It is however always recommended to be at the venue at least 20 minutes before your next event, since the schedule may differ slightly from what was previously announced.

No flash photography in the entire venue! Flash is distracting to the competitors. Pictures without the use of flash are allowed.

Spectators should remain 1,5 meters away from the solving stations and the competition area. Otherwise, you might distract other competitors or disrupt the competition flow.

You are not allowed to talk about the scrambles until the round is done Otherwise, you might get disqualified.

Check your e-mail A few days before the competition, you will receive a participant email where we will address various important information for participants to know. This email will also include any changes made since the competition was announced. If there is any other urgent information which we need to communicate to competitors, then it will be done through e-mail so therefore it is important that you check your e-mail regularly.

Viktig info

Alla tävande ska ha läst WCA regulations. Deltagare förväntas känna till WCAs reglemente innan man deltar på en officiell tävling. Vi kommer innan starten av tävlingen både lördag och söndag morgon ha en deltagarintroduktion för nya deltagare där vi går igenom hur det går till när man tävlar på en officiell WCA-tävling. Vill man redan nu få bättre koll på hur tävlingsproceduren går till, kolla då gärna denna video som visar detta på ett bra sätt. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Alla nya tävlande bör ha med ett giltigt ID. För att få tävla som ny deltagare måste du kunna identifiera dig själv och visa att den information du gav oss när du registrerade dig för den här tävlingen är korrekt. Ett pass är ett bra exempel på ett giltigt ID eftersom det visar all nödvändig information, såsom namn, nationalitet och födelsedatum.

Du måste vara redo att tävla när din grupp startar Du behöver vara på plats i lokalen under de grenar där du planerar att delta. Du behöver dock vara på plats i lokalen senast 20 minuter innan din första gren ska börja, så du hinner fullfölja registreringen. Vi rekommenderar dock alltid att ni är på plats i lokalen minst 20 minuter innan er nästa gren, då schemat kan variera något jämfört med vad som först var planerat.

Fotografering med blixt är förbjudet i hela lokalen! Blixtar är störande för tävlande. Fotografering utan blixt är tillåtet.

Publik måste befinna sig 1,5 meter ifrån tävlingsstationerna och tävlingsområdet Annars finns risken att man stör andra tävlande eller tävlingsproceduren.

Man får inte prata om blandningarna innan man tävlat färdigt i pågående gren Annars finns risken att man blir diskvalificerad.

Håll koll på er e-mail Några dagar innan tävlingen kommer ni få ett deltagarmail där vi kommer ta upp diverse viktig information för deltagare att känna till. I detta mail kommer också eventuella ändringar sedan tävlingen annonserades tas upp. Om det finns annan information som vi snabbt måste kommunicera till deltagare så kommer detta också ske via e-mail, därför är det viktigt att ni håller koll på er e-mail regelbundet.

Registration

The registration is not considered complete until you have paid the registration fee of 200 SEK. Payment is done through the WCA website, this will show up automatically right after you register.
If your name doesn't appear on the competitor list 48 hours after paying, contact the organisers. (Contact information under the "General info" tab.)

If you have registered but then can't go to the competition, please send an e-mail telling us this as that will leave your spot for somebody else, and you will also get a refund of 100% of the registration fee as long as it's done before November 29th.

Registration will close on November 28th, or when the competitor limit of 110 competitors is reached.

Anmälan

Anmälan räknas inte som klar förrän du har betalat anmälningsavgiften på 200 SEK. Betalning sker på WCA-sidan, detta kommer fram automatiskt efter att du har anmält dig.
Om du inte finns med på deltagarlistan 48 timmar efter du har betalat, kontakta arrangören. (Kontaktuppgifter hittar du under "General info"-fliken.)

Om du har anmält dig men sen inte längre kan komma på tävlingen, maila oss arrangörer och informera om detta. Det lämnar din plats för någon annan, och du får också tillbaka 100% av anmälningsavgiften, så länge du gör det innan 29:e november.

Anmälan stänger 28:e november, eller när deltagargränsen på 110 personer är nådd.

New competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! There should not be much to worry about, but this tab will give you some useful information for you to prepare for the competition.

Make sure to read through all tabs above as there is a lot of important information there.
If you've never competed before, you need to bring a valid ID, for example a passport or driver's licence.

We will have a demonstration showing how the competing process works before the competition on both Satuday and Sunday morning, but we highly recommend watching this video to get a good understanding of how solving in competition works. Reading through this guide is also a good idea since it shows most things a competitor needs to know.

It is also important that you read through the WCA Regulations so that you are aware of different penalties and how to avoid them.

Remember that you only need to be at the venue when you have an event to compete in, but since the schedule might change slightly throughout the competition, we recommend showing up at least 20 minutes before your first event.

Throughout the competition, you will be able to see live results from WCA-Live, and there you can see what results you got and whether or not you proceeded to the next round.

Nya tävlande

Om det här är din första WCA-tävling, välkommen! Det finns inte mycket att oroa sig för, men denna flik ger er lite användbar information så ni kan förbereda er inför tävlingen.

Det är viktigt att du läser igenom alla flikar här på sidan, eftersom det finns mycket viktig information där.
Om du aldrig tävlat förut måste du ha med ett giltigt ID, till exempel ett pass eller körkort.

På både lördag och söndag morgon innan tävlingsstart kommer vi demonstrera hur det går till att tävla, men vi rekommenderar starkt att du även kollar på den här videon så du bättre förstår hur det går till att lösa i tävling. Att läsa igenom denna guide är också en bra idé eftersom den visar det mesta man behöver känna till som deltagare.

Det är också viktigt att du läser igenom WCA-reglerna så du får en bättre förståelse för vilka olika tidsstraff du kan få på lösningarna, och hur du undviker dem.

Kom ihåg att du bara behöver vara i lokalen när du har någon gren att tävla i, men eftersom schemat kan ändras något under tävlingen rekommenderar vi att du är där minst 20 minuter innan din första gren.

Under hela tävlingen kommer du kunna se live-resultat från WCA-Live, där kan du se vilka resultat du fick, och ifall du gick vidare till nästa runda.

Travel

Östra Gymnasiet is located between Trångsund and Skogås in the southern suburbs of Stockholm.

So, first and foremost, you need to get to Stockholm. There are multiple options: train (www.sj.se), buses (www.nettbuss.se or www.flixbus.se), airplanes (www.sas.se or www.norwegian.se) or even boats from Finland (www.tallinksilja.se or www.vikingline.se). You can also take the car, see further info below.

By commuter train/pendeltåg: Easiest way to get to Östra Gymnasiet is using SL - Pendeltåg, the closest station is Skogås (700 meters) and walk from there. You can also catch bus 831 from either Trångsund (direction Länna Handelsplats) or Skogås (direction Farsta Centrum) and get off att Edsboskolan.

By subway/bus: You could also take the subway to Farsta Centrum (Green line, going south) and catch bus 831 from there towards Länna Handelsplats, get off at Edsboskolan.

By car: take the 73 (aka Nynäsvägen) and get off at Skogås, go straight through the roundabout and take a left at the Ingo petrol station, go past Skogåsstation and turn right over the railway, Östra Gymnasiet is just on the left on the other side.

Resa

Östra Gymnasiet ligger mellan Trångsund och Skogås, söder om Stockholm.

Först och främst måste man ta sig till Stockholm. Det finns massor av alternativ: tåg (www.sj.se), buss (www.nettbuss.se or www.flixbus.se), flyg (www.sas.se or www.norwegian.se) eller båt från Finland (www.tallinksilja.se or www.vikingline.se). Man kan så klart också åka bilen, se vidare info nedan.

Pendeltåg: Enklast är att ta pendeltåget till Skogås, därifrån är det ca 700 meter till Östra Gymnasiet. Man kan också ta buss 831 från Trångsund (mot Länna Handelsplats) eller Skogås (mot Farsta Centrum) och kliva av vid hållplatsen Edsboskolan.

Tunnelbana/Buss: Ta grön linje till Farsta Centrum och byt till buss 831 (mot Länna Handelsplats), kliv av vid hållplats Edsboskolan.

Bil: Ta väg 73 (Nynäsvägen) söderut och åk av vid Skogås, kör rakt igenom rondellen mot Skogås Centrum, ta vänster vid Ingo-macken och åk förbi Skogås Station. Sväng höger över järnvägen, Östra Gymnasiet ligger på vänster sida.

Accomodation

Sleeping in the venue is possible from Friday night to Sunday morning, free of charge. To do this, you must fill out this form so we know how many to expect: Form Note that there is no kitchen available in the venue, nor are there any showers. More information will follow shortly.

There are many hotels and hostels in central Stockholm - commuting to the venue by public transport takes about 25 minutes (train from T-centralen to Skogås, walk 700 meters). There are always deals on www.hotels.com or www.booking.com.

Boende

Det är möjligt att sova gratis på golvet i lokalen från fredag kväll till söndag morgon. För att göra detta måste detta formulär fyllas i så vi vet hur många som planerar att göra detta: Formulär Notera att det inte finns något kök tillgängligt i lokalen, det finns inte heller tillgång till duschar. Mer information om detta kommer läggas till mycket snart.

Det finns mängder av hotell, hostels och vandrarhem i centrala Stockholm - det tar ca 25 minuter till Östra Gymnasiet från city (pendeltåg från T-Centralen till Skogås, gå 700 meter). Det finns mängder av erbjudanden på www.hotels.com eller www.booking.com.

Food

There are multiple pizzerias, a sushi bar and an ICA Supermarket located in Skogås Centrum about 700 meters from the venue (see https://www.skogascentrum.se/)

There are also places to eat in Trångsunds Centrum, right by the trainstation, including a pizzeria, a subway, a cafe and a sushi (see https://www.trangsundcentrum.se)

Mat

Det finns flera pizzerior, en sushibar och en ICA i Skogås Centrum cirka 700 meter från lokalen.

Det finns också ställen att äta på i Trångsunds Centrum, bredvid pendeltågsstationen.

The page will be updated during the days before the competition, and this is also the page which you should visit to see the live results during the competition, and see whether you proceeded to the next round or not.
