  • BEFORE REGISTRATION please be aware of competitor responsibilities.
  • The competition will take place on Saturday, August 31st in the auditorium of Mount Everest Academy (https://www.sandiegounified.org/schools/mt-everest-academy/map-campus).
  • Spectating is free and open to the public. Photography and videography are permitted, however there shall be NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY.
  • Please provide adult supervision for children under 12 years - thanks!
  • If any changes are made to the competition or schedule, they will be clearly announced to all competitors in an email
  • Schedule is tentative to change at the discretion of the organization team

The base registration fee for this competition is $20 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

1. Statement of intent to withdraw registration with refund.
2. Name (and WCA ID, if applicable) of the competitor.

FOR NEW COMPETITORS
Please be informed of the basic processes of a WCA competition as shown in this video.

ALL COMPETITORS
Returning competitors will have the obligation to help staff the competition to ensure it runs smoothly. For each event you sign up for, you will be asked to help out, under most circumstances, for one group of that event. Arriving to help during the times you are scheduled ensures we are able to run the event smoothly.

We will provide a tutorial in the beginning of the day before 3x3 round 1, both for new and returning competitors, with information on competition processes. This will include basic procedures for competing, judging, and running. Ultimately, it is the competitor's responsibility to be familiar with, and adhere to, the World Cube Association Regulations.

Parking Information:

Parking is available in the front parking lot and along to the streets. A back parking lot is also available if you drive past the entrance of the school on Mount Everest Blvd.

Mt. Everest Blvd. is one block west of the intersection of Balboa and Genesee.
From the intersection of Mt. Everest Blvd. and Balboa, go 3 blocks north on Mt. Everest Blvd.
School is at the intersection of Mt. Everest Blvd. and Mt. Etna Dr.

This competition is sponsored by SpeedCubeShop! They will be vending at the competition, as well as providing prizes for podiums.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
