Information

We ask attendees to limit themselves to one guest per competitor if possible so that we do not go over capacity limits for this venue which is 200 people.
Attendance is not required for the entire competition, however please arrive at least 15 minutes before your event's planned start time.
Please bring your own cubes for the events you are competing in.

First Time Competitors:
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. There is a video here for the basic overview of the rules.

Judging:
All competitors are expected to help at this competition. We will have a judging tutorial at the beginning of the day. All competitors will be assigned to judge 1 group of each of the events they are competing in. There will also be tickets for raffle prizes given for every round a competitor judges.

The base registration fee for this competition is $30 (Canadian Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Venue:
The venue is located a 5 minute drive (25 minute walk) from Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport. There are several hotels available close by.

Driving:
If you are driving from Calgary, Google Maps might try to route you through Dorothy (AB #564), which is a rough road with no gas or cell service. Instead it is recommended to take highway #9 through Drumheller to the Saskatchewan border.
If you are driving from Red Deer, Google Maps might try to route you through Kerrobert (highway #51) which is a rough road and can be dangerous in heavy rain. Instead it is recommended to take highway #14. or highway #7.

Parking:
There is limited parking at the venue, however there is street parking available on 46th street and Wheaton Ave, where posted.

Competitors are allowed to bring their own food and drink into the venue.
The venue has a concessions area, which will be serving non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, sandwiches and burgers during the competition.
The venue is located in an industrial area, however there are many fast food and restaurant options a 5 minute drive away.

Some of the raffle prizes have been donated by local Saskatoon puzzle store, Puzzle Master.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
